You can raise friendship by conversing with your pokemon.
A to agree
B to disagree
Y to cheer them

I find it best to do this after a successful win against an opponent, you'll know they have a decent friendship rating when after KOing a pokemon they do a pose and you hear their cry.

If you get hurt while a Chansey or Blissey is around they'll run up to you do a little dance and you'll heal quicker, then they'll run away again, even the Alpha ones do it, not injuries inflicted on you because of them tho

After you complete the game if you talk to the professor he will give you the other 2 starters you didn't pick back at the beginning of the game

Some pokemon will attack you anyway due to their natures such as Psyducks with Adamant natures will go aggressive

Machops and Machokes will sometimes be friendly towards you until you either defeat the Chansey/Blissey they are protecting or until you best one of them in battle and even then they will not attack you in a group even if you argo all of them at once they will still only fight you one on one

If you let out one of your pokemon before a battle and wild pokemon are nearby the wild pokemon will look at your pokemon rather than you allowing you to possibily sneak behind them and prepare a back strike

The Gyarados, Magnazone, Togetic/Togekiss, Hisuian Braviery flying high will never attack you even if you manage to reach them with your own Hisuian Braviery

The Paras line are some aggressive angry little fuckers and will attack you from feet away even if you think you hadn't triggered them.

Zubat line are the same

Fun fact, if you scare or get into a fight with the smaller pokemon when an Alpha is around the ones you aren't scaring or fighting will run off to alert the alpha, had it happen to me with Alpha Ursauring coming to gut my ass while I was trying to get a Teddiursa
