In regards to Star Wars, the woke stuff is a symptom IMO. The Disney tentacle monster got a hold of the franchise and it was yanking it in every which way to appease everyone. The bigger problem is that the franchise went off the rails by a combination of things.

Sidelining most of the new characters after TFA. Trying to be too "current" with the writing and script style. Dragging old corpses on screen and baiting old fans with them. Putting up a woke facade and then turning your black actor into a joke. Yadda yadda.

Star Wars movies should also be put on ice. Disney's treatment of that trilogy ended up being shambolic in the end. You sideline your new characters and good actors immediately in order to prop 70 year olds all while making the pivot to call this franchise "The Skywalker Saga", in order to get some clout and goodwill after you cratered the franchise.

I can say for myself that I was very annoyed by TRoS when they dragged around dead husks from 40 years ago in order to appease me. It was embarrassing. I never asked for a 42 year wrap-up. The 9 movies are not called "The Skywalker Saga".

GTFO with that forced Disney branding.

If you want a good factory job, I don't quite know if they still exist like they used to, if you aren't specialized in one area. There was a time when people in my family and extended family worked at the Ford plant near Toronto and you could just step in and work on the production line. An untrained Greek immigrant could just step in and make good money on the production line with no education or tenure.

Now that same factory, you'd have to work like 10 years at a crap wage before jumping into higher seniority and very very good paychecks. And there are less jobs because a lot of it is automated and there's a microchip shortage at the moment.

Not really a factory. It was more like a warehouse that creates pressed wood and then another area drills holes into pressed wood furniture and then the last area of the warehouse packages the furniture items for Wal-Mart. It sucked ass.

2 breaks and a 30 hour lunch, and the rest of the time you're standing in one spot moving stacks of wood onto a conveyor. There are lifers that were there for like 10+ years. F***ing insane.
