I always thought that LGBTQ was too long of an acronym and should've been shortened.

It's always amusing to me to help people on sites like game FAQs will condemn a video based off just how it looks.

The too long didn't watch version is LGBT people on Twitter were upset because they're gay representation was a character they dislike and he thought it was amusing. But turns out it's more likely that it was a translation error and there's no gay character since the character is a big pervert for women.

Like I said he hates gays being forced into media or portrayed badly in media. In this video he's basically laughing cause the twitter gays have been pestering the creator of MHA to put in a gay character... Because... And now that it's hinted Minota (sp?) Is bi and he's not a fan favorite, they're still flipping out because I guess they 'made the wrong one gay'.

Dont do an "im gay" and then it really never comes up again thing that's just a lazy attempt to shut the LGBT crowd up

The thing is, in anime, story and characters go first. For the most part they don't have agendas and other BS, the stories about the heroes beating the bad guys or slice of life romances, telling a good horror story and whatever else, there's no lecturing towards the audience.

They have lots of stories and series that actually center around gay characters, they can go watch those. Japan doesn't care what Americans watch because Americans already love anime as-is. Gay Twitter can try to bully and harrass all they want, they're not gonna toss in gay characters into a series 'just because' if so many people are buying it anyway AND where there are already a lot of anime series that have gay characters in em.

Yes you're right, they get a better result when the creator actually wants to add a gay character.

American shows are different. They usually care more about checkboxes nowadays. Like if you're trying to sell your pitch, you better get ready to have POC and gay characters shoved into your show if you want it greenlit for tv. Especially the CW.

Yeah I think every DC show had at least one lesbian. Legends had one that was entertaining though. And I loved gay snarks line to her when she looked confused after he said she was hot "im gay not blind"

The problem with Mineta being potentially bi/gay is that until this point in the series he was the trope of fawning all over the girls to the point of trying to peep on them and fondle their breasts.

If he is now Bi or Homosexual, it represents a horrible stereotype of a gay closeted man who abuses women to overcompensate. Problematic.

Eh if Sony can move Sony of America from Japan to California and bar Japanese games from the platform unless they are subjected to change, I imagine that once they obtain Crunchyroll, they will be able to insert their tentacles into the production cycle of Anime.

I think its more having issue with whats probably just a vocal minority that speaks on behalf of the whole group. I'm sure most of us want more representation but I doubt most of us are on the Internet squawking demanding and all around making us look like a bunch of easily offended whiny people. But its always that vocal minority that draws the most attention.

I have different hang ups with the LGBT. I have seen plenty enough hate towards other members of the community like gays not liking bis and trans generally being seen as the black sheep. So for a group thats supposed to be inclusive that was upsetting. I know its not everyone but still was upsetting to see people who cry about discrimination turn around and do the same. I'll never understand it. I dont hate the group I just decide to do my own thing and not jump to parrot everything.

Though I guess i could spin that and say its proof we are the same as all other humans.

trans kind of are the black sheep. The other letters in lgbt refer to sexual preference and trans is gender identity. I often wonder why they are categorized together.

Because I guess we are all different in ways other than race/ethnicity and due to gender being a major thing people debate with trans they associate sexuality. Like people are weirded out when say a man transitions to a woman but still wants a woman. People debate a cis man not wanting a mtf trans as a sexual partner. So while it is different sexuality for better or worse is attached. That's what im guessing anyways

Also they are a real small group by themselves they would have less of a voice so in that regard I definitely accept them to be a part of the group.
