WWE has a new owner, the UFC parent company that took much of their audience away from them to begin with, and benefits from being a part of streaming services.

It's not Roman that they have to thank for business being up.
Also the Saudi blood money and expansion into India.

They get larger tv contracts each time they renew b/c USA network is a desperate pathetic shell of its former self and has no programming at all left.
Fox paid a lot for SDL and lost money on the deal and didn't bother renewing.
Their tv viewers have declined faster than tv viewers in general has.

Growing their international audience (not by being better television but literally by starting to broadcast there at all) and getting utterly ridiculous sums from MBS in Saudi Arabia is the main reason they make more money now.
It's kinda similar to how domestically Hollywood's been dying for a long time now, but w/ China and the rest of the international box office now being so large, the total box office ended up being higher.

https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/08/01/democratic-debate-kamala-harris-tulsi-gabbard-joe-biden-fact-check/

Tulsi Gabbard: She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.

The facts: Its false to say Harris kept prisoners incarcerated beyond their sentences. Lawyers in Harris attorney general office did unsuccessfully argue against the early release of prisoners, citing needed inmate firefighting labor but Harris said they did so without her knowledge and publicly criticized the statement at the time.

In September 2014, attorneys for Harris argued in a court filing that the state should not free some prisoners as part of efforts to reduce prison crowding because it would negatively impact programs that put inmates to work fighting wildfires. That would severely impact fire camp participation a dangerous outcome while California is in the middle of a difficult fire season and severe drought, the lawyers wrote. A judge ruled against Harris offices request.

When the memo provoked headlines that fall, Harris spoke out against it and said she was not aware of it. The way that argument played out in court does not reflect my priorities, she told the website ThinkProgress. The idea that we incarcerate people to have indentured servitude is one of the worst possible perceptions. I feel very strongly about that. It evokes images of chain gangs.

Inmates in California are paid as little as eight cents per hour, according to the Prison Policy Initiative, with those battling wildfires getting about two dollars a day.

Do you believe her?

The upcoming years feel like an unending nightmare.

Biden carries their ticket to victory then resigns for health reasons and coronates her president is the GOOD outcome.
The bad outcome is Trump wins.

God, why couldn't Biden have chosen Tammy Duckworth like he originally planned? :(

Kamala is like a triple threat:

  • A moron who makes a fool of herself anytime she opens her mouth (no, not as bad as Trump*)
  • A legitimately evil person (no, not as bad as Trump*) that illegally kept people in prison extra time on marijuana charges to get free labor and bragged about it
  • An absolute charisma vacuum (Trump's got that one at least, can't deny it)

Hello everyone,
Its with a heavy heart and deep sadness we must inform you that the scenario writer and head of Rabbit & Bear Studios, Yoshitaka Murayama, has passed away on February 6th due to complications with an ongoing illness.

Murayama first began this journey of the creation of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes in 2020 through the support of his very loving fans on Kickstarter. Throughout the three-plus-year-development of the game, it was always the passion from his fans that continued to drive his creative vision and motivate him to put his all into the project.

His hard work on Eiyuden Chronicle as scenario writer was finished but as his co-workers and friends, it saddens us to know that he wont get to see the reactions from his fans.

However, even with those feelings we need to accept the reality that he is no longer with us and continue to push his dream forward by releasing Eiyuden Chronicle to the world.

We want to maintain his legacy and vision with this game and know that he would have wanted the rich world he has created with Eiyuden Chronicle to live on.

His family sincerely appreciates your prayers and support but asks for privacy and that no flowers, mail, or other offerings be sent.

We will have more information on organizational changes to Rabbit & Bear as well as changes to some of the Kickstarter rewards in the near future.

For now, we appreciate your continued support.

It's bad enough that you're forced to just watch for like 10 seconds as you're endlessly juggled in it.

It'd be very hard to come back from that. No matter how much goodwill you try to build afterwards, everyone will think, "they'll just go back to the original plans once we let our guards down."
Also, didn't help that the 360 was a poorly designed POS that red ringed itself to death so much. If you lost a 360 console or two to RROD, I could understand not trusting the new Xbox.
Ultimately though any console can succeed if it has games people really want to play and there's no other option to play them on. Xbox has never had that, so they could never bounce back. On that note...

Generally 10-15 over

35 in a 25
40 in a 30
45 in a 35
60 in a 45 or 50
70 in a 55 or 60
75 in a 65

I prefer to be in the 60-70 range, it's the optimal range for good MPG but also going fast. Lower feels painfully slow unless it's a local road or one w/ a bunch of lights.
Higher is both horribly wasteful on fuel and also I feel uneasy driving much above there b/c it's just too fast. Even on a wide open rural highway, if someone does some stupid shit, if you're going really fast you're probably in danger. I will go up to 80 and if I absolutely have to 85, but I really don't like it and prefer at that point to just let everyone pass me.

Outside of the super high speed limit rural road scenario, I'm usually going the same speed as at least half of the rest of the traffic, in my experience.

UnsteadyOwl posted... The posted speed limit, even though I know that's not a popular answer.

Where I used to live there was a road I would drive down fairly often where the speed limit was 35 so I'd drive 35 and I'd almost always get somebody tailgating me. My attitude was I'm not going to speed up for your benefit because if I do and I get a ticket or get into an accident because of it I don't think you're going to pay for it.
You could just like...pull to the side and let them pass instead of acting like you own the road. Takes all of a few seconds, probably don't even need to come to a full stop if it's only one mean tailgater behind you looking to pass (not the case if you're so slow you've stacked up like half a dozen cars in a train behind you).

I've pulled over for people before and I go over the damn limit already. Never understood the weird pride/hubris of refusing to do so.

If Iran starts making obvious attempts at nuclear weapons NATO will have to react. I dont know what Irans end goal with all of this shit lately is.
They're run by religious extremist nutjobs. Expecting them to behave sane or logically is even more pointless than expecting it from Putin.

French pastries and baked goods deserve their positive rep.

The other food in French cuisine is vastly overrated, though. Possibly b/c for the longest time their main geopolitical/cultural rival was the British, and any cuisine looks fucking amazing compared to theirs.

Not the ISIS I expected

From what I've read, Iran has spent years intentionally staying "one step" from enriching uranium enough to make nuclear weapons to simultaneously not draw attacks from NATO while also using the threat of doing it as a deterrent to attacking them.
But Iran lately seems to have stopped giving a fuck about anything and is just doing as much shit as they can get away with, so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually go for nuclear weapon development now.
Yet another reason Biden needs to attack them. I'd have thought a dozen or so dead Americans would draw a military response, but apparently Iran has to kill more of us before we stop giving them 1 week advance notice of where we're striking and we start striking in Iran.

inb4 the typical echo chamber of tankies say Iran's been "provoked" into this, when Biden's spent his entire presidency bending over backwards to placate them

Hopefully you didn't use the thumb drive.
I have never plugged it in out of fear from what I heard. It's just been a decorative item for a decade now. How does it fuck your computer if you do plug it in?

Pretty sure the Xenoblade X collectors edition, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Eiyuden Chronicle kickstarter backer tier I chose (physical game + OST), and Skyward Sword w/ the golden Wiimote (aka, the reason I will never pre-order a Zelda game ever again) were all around $90.

That would be the most. Unless you count the Zelda Collection Gamecube bundle, which I bought primarily for the Gamecube and the game was just a nice bonus...

3 out of 4 turned out well. Aside from the inevitability of Fed-pushed inflation pushing the numbers up eventually, I can't see myself ever paying over $100 for a game. And it's extremely rare I'll pay that much.

China, like w/ its Tik Tok vs. ours, once again shows it knows better than we do about the menace of certain Current Things.
It sucks b/c electricity prices already spiked and it's basically going to kill the electric car (which I wouldn't be surprised if that was a hidden goal of the people financially propping up this Tulip frenzy), but raising electricity prices is the only easy way to stop this shit.
And then these fuckers will just move on to another country.

It should be a crime to mine it unironically

-Worsens climate change
-Drives up energy prices
-Might legit kill people in areas going through severe weather by being the tipping point for causing rolling blackouts.
-The stupid shit where we pay them to stop is absurd.

I hope someone is engraving some stone walls/tablets w/ pictographs of our hubris for when climate change wipes us all out. So that if any humans in the far future survive or aliens find our planet, they can understand how in an environment already teetering b/c of our own emissions, we as a species decided to accelerate towards oblivion by inventing a new fake currency that demands the equivalent of burning down a small forest every day in carbon footprint.

To be fair, it may not be legally possible to charge women with rape, in some districts. Traditionally, "rape" is legally defined as vaginal penetration, usually with a penis; this is why "sodomy" exists as a separate legal distinction. Some districts have amended their laws to correct for this, while in those that haven't, a woman can only be legally charged with something like "sexual misconduct".

Just pointing out that besides the obvious social stigma, this is why you may not see women being explicitly accused of rape in articles like these.
First of all I know that and it's fucking bull shit misandry that needs to change with the times, just like the idea that "a husband can't rape his wife" changed. Rape is rape.

2nd of all, the literal legal term is Statutory Rape. Not Statutory Sexual Misconduct.
When the victims are minors is the one time none of the sexist hold-overs of the law should fucking matter. They're minors, it's automatically rape.

It's funny b/c during Obama's time, Republicans would cite his eloquence and charisma as "proof" he was the antichrist, able to draw a "cult" with his silver-tongued devil speech.

Now they're the ones w/ an actual cult (w/ a leader that checks WAY more of the boxes for antichrist) and observing Obama's great speaking ability is an insult to them and makes you a RINO.
