Doesn't mean it stings any less though :(

Christ this movie. That stupid scene with cgi red skull lol.

At least we'll always have Avengers 1. That movie... that movie changed the face of cinema forever. It's still so fucking good.

That movie was nonsense. Only one timeline where they beat Thanos? What about the one where they stall Thanos for five more seconds so that he doesn't even have the completed gauntlet when all father Thor descends from the heavens and shrugs off the entire gauntlet beam and splits Thanos in half?

Or the ultimate cliche of them having the gauntlet off with another fucking Planck length but one dumbass fucks it up and Dr. Strange the person who should know the future already and have seen this doesn't hold him back. That's what really pisses me off about the 'different timelines' plot point. It enabled the writers to do asinine, unbelievable, and downright lazy plot points and not have to worry because their rabid fanboys will go the hundred miles themselves to explain why a completely fucking obvious decision wasn't made by the characters. You can point out the most clearly laughably stupid moments in this movie and some 40 year old in adult diapers will still throw their fedora at you.

Or we can take it for what it is, a badass ensemble comic book movie, and not hold it to the same critical standards as films like the godfather.

Or what about half of the timelines where Thanos snaps himself and someone picks up the glove and is like "fuck all that shit that just happened, thanks"

Not just anyone can handle the glove though. You have to be really powerful. That being said Thor could probably have done it.

It wasn't a badass ensemble movie though, it was so disappointing. I made my peace long ago that we weren't gonna have some epic movie with all the marvel characters onscreen at one time, and I was fine with that.

But the movie just ultimately disappoints with its lotr-esque plot. Search for macguffins, split party members, giant stupid battle in a field that makes you disinterested because it's just bodies clashing into each other.

The actual interactions, what little there were, happened to be pretty good. I enjoyed Thor and Guardians. I liked the Thanos battle with all the dudes. I definitely didn't care for the Wakanda siege. One on one battles are always so much better than just giant army like fight scenes.

Nah the glove can be handled by anyone. One of the purposes of the glove is to protect you from backlash from the stones.

Yeah I don't get the spiderman meme. Were people like, shocked or something at that scene? They literally announced a movie of his right after avengers didn't they? Kinda removes any suspense, at least if anyone actually had any suspense in the first place and didn't immediately think "oh, they'll be brought back next movie through some... plot or other"

Since when does knowing the outcome mean the story lacks impact?
