This comes as the convoy only has 20% support from the public for blocking the border but says Trudeau is not doing enough to end the problem and is looking weak by remaining silent as even Democrats in the US are asking Trudeau to take action despite the PM not willing to use the military to end the blockade Despite 4 conservative provincial leaders in Alberta, Quebec, Manitoba and Saskatchewan who say the Emergencies act is not needed, he does have one conservative on board with the act, DOUG FORD!! Conservative Doug Ford says he supports Trudeau's decision to "provide additional tools" to help police "resolve the situation" and said those participating in the illegal blockades in Ontario and across Canada need to know that there are consequences for their actions which is a similar step his government took last week in invoking a state of emergency Ontario will also lift restrictions by March 1st for the vaccine passport but masks will remain Trudeau said at a press conference that he will not and cannot allow illegal and dangerous activities to continue despite calls from all aisles telling them to go home This provision will allow the government to tow away trucks which they have used to block the border including PICK UP TRUCKS. He spoke to all the premiers today in a call as Ford expressed to him that these measures should be targeted and time limited and that law and order must be restroed in this country where blocking billions of dollars of trade and putting hundreds of thousands of jobs are on the line Police began removing protesters and arresting those who also had SHOTGUNS in their vehicles Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois tried to table a motion to end the federal COVID guidelines and was joined by one rogue Liberal MP Joel Lightfoot who broke ranks with the party last week stating the restrictions should end immediately but the Liberals and NDP defeated the motion. NDP Jagmeet Singh says he will also support Trudeau in using the emergencies act to finally get something done but said his failure in leadership to do so earlier was what prolonged this and that there should be a timeline down the road on how canada can get out of the pandemic. Last time his dad used them, he turned Quebec into a police state and several groups of people got beaten and arrested for no reason, giving a huge boost in popularity to separatists for the following decades.
