What i mean is buying an entry level porsche won't have them sending you swag and inviting you to events. Sure they may give you good customer service when you're at the dealership, but you'll also be the lowest priority for a loaner car vs someone who's buying a GT3 with a weissach package.

It's not really the price itself but the context. 60k is a huge amount of money for almost anyone you talk to, but a 60k porsche won't get you that great treatment vs a 40k Morgan or a 50k Lotus.

To truly get those "special" experiences where the dealers start inviting you to events, send you swag you need to either be spending supercar money, or buying into low production specialty brands.

From what I've seen, it's not "Skimmed off the top".

It's how much money is left for the military after being ransacked by every other bureaucrat with sticky hands.

There are suspicions that many of those warehouse/depot fires from a few months in ago in russia were self-sabotage by the people in charge of the facilities to hide the evidence that they had stolen the money that was supposed to fill those sites with equipment and resources.

So i've been playing catchup on a year's worth of quests in genshin and i've come to the conclusion that genshin has a unique ability to have a metric crap ton of dialog for them to say so very little

like jesus christ, just get on with it, you don't need 5 minutes worth of dialog to convey what could be said in 10 seconds and the skip dialog feature sucks because there's a horribly long delay between "activations".

Building a couple of test nukes for show is a lot cheaper than actually keeping and maintaining a stockpile of them. The amount of money the US spends on maintaining it's nuke arsenal just doesn't seem doable for the ruskies, especially considering how much of the military funding is skimmed off the top and straight into official's pockets.

What nukes though? Have the inspectors actually seen nukes in the past couple decades or just toured facilities to make sure they're compliant.
