The issue with that is that if you truly want to stay legitimate, then you can't add more games to the Classic. Adding games to them is the only thing that makes them worthwhile. Otherwise they are a ripoff.

By legitimate I meant legally.

The classics are a rip off to you but not to me. The games offered are such a great deal. There are some games I never played and some that I only played a little as a child. And like I said in my first post, I have a raspberry pi if I wanted most of the NES and SNES library.

I have a raspberry pi that I was planning on turning into a retro pie and I might do it at some point. But I wanted to buy both Classics and play the games legitimately.

I was going to buy them on my next paycheck but Nintendo announced they weren't going to make any more of them and today a customer told me how many stores no longer have them in stock. So I kinda panicked and decided to just buy them right away. I don't want to risk it.

Anyways, I'm happy with my purchases and can't wait to play Super Mario RPG, Star Fox 2, Castlevania 1, etc. But I won't unbox them until I move to my new bedroom.

I'm talking about Reset Era in particular:
https://www.resetera.com/threads/fortnite-streamer-drdeadmoth-physically-abuses-so-on-live-stream.86059/

People are siding with the wife without questions.

Just to be clear, I am not saying he is a victim or anything like that.

It seems like their relationship has been pretty shitty for some time and that doesn't allow him to hit her at all.

However, it seems like she was throwing stuff at him and doing other things that can't be seen in the video. Maybe she was even hitting him. We don't know for sure.

But I just hate how things are one sided on the internet. It's like this all over the internet.

If he hit her in defense then that was in defense. I can't tell from the video. But if he hit her just for the hell of it, then yeah, that's messed up. Domestic violence is never okay.

I just hate how people get one sided without knowing all the details. For example, if a woman starts hitting a guy non stop, and the guy defends himself, you'll see a lot of people side with that woman. I'm just using that as an example because I've seen people comment like that. And this example can be done the other way around as well.

Anyways, I see this type of comments on Reset Era a lot. It's one of the reasons why I left that place (the other reason is that if you don't agree with their agenda, you'll get suspended or banned). I mostly just go there because I find video game news there pretty fast.

Luckily I don't see much of that on gamefaqs. Then again, I only visit a couple of places here on gamefaqs.

I was browsing the PC board and there was a NSFW ad that appeared in one of the topics. I'm not sure why I got that ad.

In case you're wondering what it was, it was a topless woman. I think its a cover of an album titled "Black Emanuelle". Maybe it'll appear at the bottom of this page now. And no, it has nothing to do with my search history.

A few days ago, I was so bored at work that I just didn't want to be there. I kept looking at the clock every couple of minutes. I wanted to quit my job by the time I got home.

That carried over to the next day. I did not want to go to work. I felt very unhappy (plus my schedule kinda sucks). I thought to myself that if they fired me, I wouldn't care and they'd be doing me a favor. But after about 30 minutes, I kinda settled in and slowly felt much better.

My manager did make me a little mad, but at the end of the day, he really is trying to help me. In fact, he actually believed in me when I didn't myself. I actually wanted to quit my job because I simply didn't think I could do what I was asked and now I'm doing pretty well (retail job).

With that said, is all of this what anxiety feels like? I'm asking because I'm not really sure what anxiety feels like. I mean, quickly looking at the dictionary, it seems like it is. This isn't the first time I've experienced this. I usually feel this way with every new job and it's something I want to change about myself. I felt like quitting my job a few days ago because I couldn't stand it and yesterday I felt fine.

I don't know what I can do to not feel this way. I should mention that I was given medication for social anxiety. I don't know if it's been helping because it's new to me. The 2 times I've taken them I felt fine at work (for the most part; I did get a bit angry at my manager but he's a good guy).

Correct

It's helpful if you're not a degenerate vagabond that cannot hold a job.
Everyone complains about not having any free time but everyone also seems to sleep until 11 in the morning and be up until 3am. WTF is that about? Get some sleep.

I lasted a little over 2 years in each of my previous jobs. I would probably still be working at my old job if it wasn't for health reasons at the time. They were going to fire me because of my performance (I did not disclose what I was going through and didn't want to because everyone there wouldn't keep it private).

Anyways, I wake up between 6 to 7 am usually. I'm not like most people that wake up at 11 am or noon.

edit: oh yeah, with my current schedule, I wouldn't be able to go to the gym. I mean, technically I know I can. I'd be in such a hurry though. And maybe I just can't manage my time very well.

Maybe. I still can't tell if I'm super tired or it's just laziness. I think I'm just too tired.

I'm trying to get my sleep apnea concerns taken care of but nothing has been working so far. I have my appointment next month.

I just feel like I have no life with this schedule. Hell, any schedule that doesn't allow me to have all afternoon to do whatever I want.

In that case just shift your usual activities to be done in the morning instead of the afternoon. That's what my friend who's work 2-10pm kinda do. He'll be gaming from 11pm to 1 or 2am, sleep, maybe game some more around noon and then leave for work at 1pm.

Is there any particular reason why you can't do your usual activities in the morning before work instead of the previous afternoon after work?

I'm also tired in the morning. Actually, I'm just tired in general. But my current schedule makes me feel very unhappy. I mean, once I'm at work things get a bit better after a few hours. But I also find it very boring. I'm still new there so I won't quit. I really need this job. And it's a great learning experience.

I think I'm going to try to get a job at my old retail job. I'm only seasonal at my current job anyways.

It helps if your friends share a similar schedule with you. Myself and majority of my friends are the 8am-5pm type with some variants (I'm 6am-4pm) while a few friends own their own business so their hours varies and another friend has a rotating schedule every two weeks.

How likely and how often we get together or even play games together online various depending on everyone's schedule of course. One friend use to work Friday through Sunday 9pm-9am so we almost never seen him on weekends. Now he works Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm so we're able to play games with him more often but not till he's home around 11pm. Late as it is, I don't tend to go to sleep till 1am so we're still able to squeeze in some co-op.

I don't have friends. lol

I need to find a job that has a schedule that I'd like. I could go back to my old retail job. I worked from 4 am to noon.

I feel like I can't do anything. I usually work in the afternoons and get off work at around 10 or so. By the time I get home, I'm too tired to play any story driven games. To make things worse, I have sleep apnea.

This wasn't an issue for me a few years ago when I worked at 4 am and got off at noon. I had the rest of the day to do whatever I wanted. But I was supposed to sleep earlier, which I never did. lol

I'm not happy about my schedule, but I needed a job (I work at retail). I'm sitting here with a few hours left until my shift starts and I just wish I could sleep, but I have to shower and then get ready for work. Then the same thing tomorrow. I'm just not too happy with my job.

Started today and had to do orientation on the computer. I'm guessing it was supposed to take only like 2 hours or something, but I was there for 5 hours and still didn't finish. I was asked to come tomorrow to finish it.

I had to sit through a lot of videos and read a bunch of crap. It was tedious as hell. I was close to falling asleep a few times. I watched through everything and read through most of it. A lot of them didn't even have quizzes.

But the reason why I feel like I have a learning problem is because I feel like my brain can't handle too much information at once. It becomes very overwhelming for me. It's hard to explain. I guess my brain just feels foggy and I feel insecure with everything I do for some reason.

This isn't the first time I feel this way. I quit 2 other jobs in the past because I simply couldn't do it or felt way too overwhelmed. I honestly believe anyone can do those things but I feel it's very difficult for me. Which is weird because I can do computer stuff just fine and I've done 3D animation (basic stuff though).

I'm not going to quit though. I really need this job. I'll just stay with it and see what happens. I'm not setting up myself for failure or anything. I'm simply being realistic. The worst thing about this is, that I haven't even started doing any real work there yet (customer service job). I can only imagine how bad I'll do my job.

What do you think? I just feel bad right now. Oh well.

edit: I should note that I've had 2 successful jobs. I would still be working in one of them but I had to quit because of health reasons at the time.

Python Beginner's book

All for about $100.

I was going to buy a bundle with a couple of other things, but there was a warning label regarding the plastic, so I ordered everything separately and it's a better deal this way. Besides, the bundle I had looked at had a lot of stuff I didn't need.

I'm going to use this as a Retro Pie and maybe learn how to program Python. I'll probably use my laptop to learn Python though. Until I get cheap keyboard for the Raspberry Pi.

Basically there was about Overwatch fans disappointed that there are no black women heroes. It was an overreaction and the vocal fans pretty much demand a black woman hero (which is different from asking for a black woman character).

I posted that this is basically an outrage and Overwatch has a lot of diversity as is, which it does. And I'm sure they'll continue adding a more diverse cast of heroes.

Truth is, Blizzard can't create a hero for every race/ethnic group. In fact, tons of groups of people are never represented in video games or in general. At least the black community has quite a few video game characters, leading roles in movies, etc. What about Filipinos? What about Native Americans? What about non-stereotypical Middle Easterns? What about Pacific Islanders? (such as Tongans and Samoans) I can go on and on. None of these groups ever make demands or anything like this on social media.

I've noticed this happening a lot and I think it is unfair for all of the races and ethnicities that are never represented.

Anyways, I got banned for apparently dismissing concerns about representation. It's only for a few days but fuck that, I'm closing my account. I was banned for no real reason at all and I wasn't dismissing representations at all. I did the opposite. I did not receive a warning either. I knew Reset Era was very harsh on banning and I suspected my post was going to get me a temporary ban, but I simply had to state my opinion. But nope, I must follow what everyone else is saying if not I'll get banned. I can definitely see why so many people hate the Reset Community. I mostly go there because the latest gaming news pops up there.

Her face got ripped off by a thresher. Her parents put her face in a bag.

That must have hurt like hell. She was only 9 when it happened.

On a different site, it said her parents took her to a hospital or college or whatever 3 hours away. Holy crap. That's a long drive without your face and scalp. I don't know if the site I read it from is reliable or not.

Anyways, I was curious and looked up the girl on google images. And damn! Just picture that red guy from Captain America: The First Avenger.

Not like it takes much effort to grow them. The real expense tends to be picking and distribution, but shipping in bulk keeps the costs down.

When I lived in Miami, we had mango trees in our yard. Every year, a group of guys would come by and pay us for the right to harvest our trees. The trees had no upkeep costs, so it was just free money every year. Really good deal for us since otherwise we'd have to clean up the fruit after it fell from the tree. Up north, the only thing that grows in my yard is blackberries and those damn deer steal most of them.

In general, all fruits and vegetables have a growing period, so that's just the nature of the industry.

Why don't you eat the mangoes? Or are you just tired of them?

I have a lemon tree in the backyard and don't really use them.

Last night, I got hungry at 3 am and decided to hit a place that is open to 4 am for some food. It was mega foggy (crazy thick) and as I'm pulling out of my yard, I almost hit 3 deer ad the crossed the road and went into my back yard.

Now I know why, there is a blackberry bush back there. I bet if I look tomorrow I will see they ate a bunch of them (damn I was gonna eat them, but I think it's gotten to cold now so they are probably mostly dead.....I totally forgot to pick them oops).

Also fruits/veggies etc, are normally alot of effort to grow, but we use a ton of land etc to do it, and once you actually set it all up, it's mainly just the cost to harvest and ship that you pay for, the actual fruit doesn't cost much at all. Also a full Pineapple isn't really that cheap either (much cheaper to just buy slices etc).

It seems like it's a lot of work for just a few bucks per fruit. I mean, you can to factor in the cost of water, labor, etc. I don't know, I'm just having a hard time grasping this information. lol I mean, I know pineapples are profitable otherwise no one would grow and sell them.

I must be missing something here.

A pineapple plant takes a year, sometimes a year and a half to grow a fully grown pineapple.

And they sell them for a few bucks right?

That doesn't seem like much for something that takes a very long time to produce.

I know plantations have thousands and thousands of plants, but damn one fruit like the pineapple takes a year to grow.

I watched a couple of videos from Dole and they harvest thousands of pineapples every day. And I don't really understand how they have enough space on their plantation to harvest pineapples every single day.

I feel like I'm missing something.

Oh and I'm asking about pineapples because I planted the top of a pineapple and hope to successfully grow a pineapple within a year and a half.

Bunch of reasons honestly.

First as mentioned sunlight is good for you, so is fresh air, even without taking into account the fact you may have mold etc in your home that builds up over time (that can happen even if you do go out regularly).

Going out also gets you into contact with germs etc, which may seem bad (and can be) but if you rarely go out, you don't develop any sort of resistance and when you do get something, it can be really bad.

Mentally going out, even if you don't socialize, gives you new forms of stimulation mentally, being in the same place every day, constantly, even with plenty to do can be bad for mental health. This is one reason they even allow inmates to get outside for an hour a day etc. Long term effects could be hard, including the inabbility to go out at all eventually (more and more likely to just stay inside from then on).

The social part is important as well, but you could have people come over and visit you etc, so you can get around that. Still, not interacting with people tends to snowball, and often if you don't interact with others for long enough, it again becomes harder and harder to do so.

Can you live in your house, by yourself, and survive for decades? Sure!! With plenty of Video games, good books, TV/internet and lots of yummy food delivered you can even do it by yourself and still be somewhat happy.

I would suggest that even minor excursions out though, even if it's just to go eat somewhere, or run to stores to buy things directly etc, will improve your life, make you happier with what you do have, and keep your options open.

You can......suppliment your health with Vitamins if you don't get enough sunlight, and honestly you can socialize through the internet/headphones and video games at this point (possibly easier and more enjoyable for some then real life socialization. If VR improves eventually people may often not end up going out almost at all (I mean look at how many communicate mainly with Cell phones at this point...often even if in the same room!!).

Real human physical contact though, or even being in the same room, watching a show together, playing a board game, eating a meal, those are all food for your soul, and a much more filling one then you can get online, or through VR, at least for now.

Who knows what the future holds though (The shadow probably).

Ok, you made some very good points.

I'm already at the point where I don't want to go outside unless I have to. I have to figure out what I can do outside of my home.

Oh and I take Vitamin D. I know it's not the same as taking Vitamin D straight from the sunlight, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Physical activity is great.
I counteract my shut in life by walking most places. Also, my girlfriend likes to do things on occasion, so I'll do that. she has a hard time getting how I enjoy indoors so much

I enjoy walking. I usually have to do it with someone because I likely won't do it myself because I'm extremely tired all of the time (something I'm trying to figure out with doctors).

My doctor has told me this and I've heard other people say this too.

But I don't really have a reason to leave my house. I almost have everything at home that I want. I do get very bored sometimes, but leaving the house isn't going to fix that at all.

Socializing? I'm more of a listener and I used to mostly socialize at work (when I had a job). I didn't do much socializing outside of work.

What else? I simply don't have many reasons to leave my house. And when I do, I simply do my errands as quickly as possible.

I don't really understand what makes this unhealthy. I do admit that I would like to have some friends. BUT from my experiences, I can only be with some people for a while. Then I get bored or uninterested. I'm not very interesting either. Or I simply just want to be at home surfing the web, resting, or whatever.

Is there something I don't get?

So I have a product key I no longer use (because I bought a gaming laptop) and I am going to give it to my friend.

However, she lives in a different country. I called MS support and asked if it was possible to activate my product key from US in a different country. They told me it would likely not work.

Is the only way to get around this to change her region to US? Will there be any problems with the activation this way?

Thanks.
