Help me out here. I'll rewatch it again someday.

1. So Leonard was told the truth by 'Teddy' but he didn't care because finding the killer gave him a reason to live, right?

2. What was Leonard getting from helping Natalie?

3. So Leonard made up that story about Sammy? I got a little confused about that. It sounded like he created that story based on real life insurance cases he did.

Feel free to add anything I might have missed. I really enjoyed the movie and wanted to talk about it.

For 3 iirc Sammy was an actual case he investigated but it turned out he was just a fraud and he supplanted his own memories of his wife being injected with insulin to Sammies case at some point

Love that movie

I did not know about the sheriff on campus.

I agree, it is a mental health issue and something must be done about it. The only thing I can think of is providing free mental care services to everyone. Teachers can report suspicious students, etc. It would be something at least.

I don't watch a lot of tv so I don't know if this has been brought up yet.

But I think a good solution to this is to have police officers on school campuses all the time. I don't know how many. It would have to vary from school to school due sizes and populations.

I also think metal detectors should be installed in some public places particularly schools.

Both of my suggestions would be very costly, but there is a solution to that as well I think. Public schools can charge parents, guardians, or relatives a few dollars a month. I don't know how much it would cost to install metal detectors and have police officers on campus, but I think this would be a good idea.

I don't know about you but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Would those suggestions eliminate all school shootings from happening? No. But it would help reduce it quite a bit.

Will banning guns in the U.S. eliminate all school shootings from happening? Absolutely not. That's impossible. If someone with mental problems wants to kill people, they'll do it some how. If no guns are available they can create explosives, use fire, use household items like knives, or vehicles to name a few. Should all of those things be banned in the US as well? No.

I don't like how the media (from what I've seen) thinks banning guns is the only way to stop shootings from happening because it isn't. Again, it's impossible and they should figure out how to reduce it.

Just curious. I posted this on the PC board as well.

There are some people in the industry that don't like Microsoft and what they are doing to Windows.

If I was a publisher, I'd be a little worried about the default Windows 10 S mode they're adding to PCs. I know it's only going to be on select PCs, but it would be that Microsoft is just testing the waters and seeing if they can get away with it in the future.

This can have an impact on PC publishers and mostly distributors like Valve because if MS makes Windows a more closed platform, Valve won't get a 30% cut of all games sold through Steam. This will affect Blizzard, Epic Games, EA, and GOG to name a few.

That's why Valve invested in SteamOS.

It's a lot of fun. You should try it.

If you're not sure you'll like it, you can buy it on mobile for like $6.99. It's the same as the one on Xbox One, Switch (I think), and Windows 10 Edition. I know using the touch screen sucks, but you can hook up a controller to play it.

I don't have any problem thinking of stuff to do, but it just takes forever to do a whole lot in Survival mode. After a certain point I find it more fun to just start over rather than keep trying to perfect the same map.

Are you going to continue with the same map when you get back? Usually when I take a break for more than a couple weeks, that's when I decide it's best to just make a new map.

Yeah, it takes forever in Survival. I started yesterday and I guess I'm done with it now. I think it took me around 6 hours to get to the point where I am now.

I probably won't do the same map. I'll still keep it though.

If I feel like playing Minecraft I'll probably just whip something up in Creative mode. Survival is fun, but yeah, after a certain point, there's not much to do.

Once you reach a certain point in Survival, there isn't much to do in my opinion.

I had spent a lot of hours on Creative mode recently and learned a lot of things I didn't know before and looked at some tutorials.

Minecraft is really fun, but I don't know what to do in it now. I know that sounds silly because you can create anything you want in Minecraft, but that's how it is for me personally. If there is no objective anymore, I end up getting bored eventually. Same thing happened with Tropico.

I'll probably take a break from it for a few months and get back to it again.

I know this starts off negative from the start of this topic, but the Switch community on ResetEra can be very annoying. They praise the Switch like there's no tomorrow. I get it. Switch is a very successful console and has a good library of games. Portability is great for some. But people on that forum always brag about the Switch and are always port begging.

I don't own a Switch, but I'd like to buy one at some point. I don't care about portability though, but that's just me.

You're going to have to get over this hump at some point. I understand the urge of wanting to meet a lovely lady on a video game (I've been friends with this girl I met on a Maplestory private server for five years, we just met up for the first time last month in Vegas). It's much more liberating talking to people over a game because there is no ulterior motive. But the odds of this ever turning into anything "real" are pretty much zero (one of us would have to move).

I also would like to meet someone in real life, but again, this lifestyle of only work and home does not afford many opportunities to meet women.

I know you're a bit older (I'm 25) but there's nothing wrong with setting your age range to women a bit younger, like maybe 24+. There are young women out there who prefer stability, which it sounds like you have.

True. Yeah I'll have to give online dating another try. I've heard people had good success with it so it's worth a shot again. I've accepted that online dating is normal in this day and age.

Yeah, I'm open to dating women younger than me. I also think it would be good for me because a younger woman is likely to have a more fun mindset or whatever. Obviously not every younger woman is like that either. Unfortunately I don't have much stability at the moment because of some health problems, but I'm getting back on track.

Yeah, I could try online dating I suppose. Just to give it a try. I did try a few years ago but it was really quickly. I messaged a girl I found interesting and she appreciated the fact that I actually tried to start a conversation instead of using some dumb pick up line. lol. That was the end of it. But maybe I'll try again and this time for a little bit longer.

I know dating a woman that has children doesn't mean they'll be my responsibility, but there's the possibility of becoming attached to them, and I do think it's a big commitment.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Was watching a segment on tv about dating and first impressions and all of that. It inspired me to make this topic.

Basically it keeps getting more and more difficult for me to find that special someone because of who I am. I think people would consider me boring and that's completely fine. I don't like going out, I only enjoy socializing at work, I prefer being by myself most of the time, and things like that.

I'm basically living in my own little world I guess. And I absolutely like it this way. I'm not complaining about that.

But it does make it very difficult for me to meet new people. Again, I don't care too much about socializing I guess since I don't enjoy hanging out with people that much outside of work and the few times I have, I've gotten bored within an hour. I have no interest in new hobbies or ways to meet people.

With that in mind, it basically seems like it would be impossible for me to find someone to date. I also don't think many girls would be interested me, but I could be wrong. I'm sure there's someone out there for me. I simply have not met her yet. And I can't picture myself living with a woman because I'm too boring.

I'm not putting myself down or anything. This is just the way I feel and I feel like I'm being realistic.

I am not interested in online dating through websites or apps. I'd rather meet a girl in real life. However, I am open to meeting women I've played online games with. I'm not actively looking for one or anything like that. But I have met a cool friend I play online games with and it would be cool to meet her in person. I prefer having online friends because I can relate with them much more.

Oh and irl I'm pretty laid back, super nice, lots of people at work end up liking me, and I'm considered charismatic, which might sound a little weird because I'm often considered quiet. lol. I don't care if I get friendzoned by women because those are the types of women I wouldn't want to date anyways; women who wouldn't date a guy like me just for being 'too nice.'

I guess that's about it. I was wondering if there's anyone who can relate with me? Oh and just wanted to say that I'm not the kind of person that only wants to date physically attractive women. I like to get to know them and all of that. I've met some great looking women who simply aren't interesting at all to me.

p.s. I'm approaching my 30s and many women in my age group already have kids, divorced, or already in a relationship. I'm no where near ready to start a family.

I still haven't figured out everything that makes my stomach upset. I was on a non-fodmap diet for a few months and I felt pretty good. Then I stopped and my stomach has gotten upset since.

Now I started the non-fodmap diet again and I haven't ate much today because a lot of foods make my stomach upset. I need to look up recipes for food I can eat. As of right now, it's far too restrictive. :( I could buy McDonalds and ask them to replace the buns and wrap the burger with lettuce when I'm lazy until I fully figure out my new diet.
