so having not playing any souls game before, the game does nothing to explain the stat spreadsheet, like wtf is the letter rankings on weapons, or how to build a strong build. like, im reminded of young me putting 1 stat in every skill of a diablo 2 character to figure things out with bad results. the internet is needed to explain what weapon to go for, what stats to put pts into, and a few other beginner tips that the game itself will do nothing to explain. for example i didn't find the psysick phial thing until long after beating godric >_>

its a frustrating experience for beginners, i mean i did naked kill a few big enemies early on with wretch class but damn man, the time sink to progression ratio is not good. the trial and error phase is too big of a time sink. guess people coming from other souls games knew the deal but i sure didn't.
