So we don't agree with everything perfectly but we mostly share a lot of the same creed and moral beliefs? Does that still makes us enemies?

Those people do exist, they just don't merely contain their anger towards children and instead target entire ethnic groups. You might notice them, they're usually carrying torches, waving flags, or wearing armbands that make them super easy to identify. Some even write entire manifestos and post them on the internet for the whole entire world to see.

As you get older and people start to become more firm in their beliefs, you start to realize that no, there's a lot of people who don't share your same creed or moral beliefs.

They might claim to (and genuinely think they do), but when taken to their logical conclusion, they believe in something totally different.

That's an extreme. Think it would be closer to say something like you want UBI and I think UBI is a stupid idea. (Not saying that's what I think just an example)

The ones who do that are quite possibly the most hateful, bigoted, intolerant people I've ever seen, moreso than those they crusade against.

They weaponize virtue to pretend like they give a shit about others because they're such hateful people. That same intolerant, hateful mindset is why they don't compromise or bother to understand other viewpoints, because doing so means they can't direct their awful personalities towards it any more and have to find a new thing they pretend they care about.

It's like the whole Andrew Tate thing. I thought he was an awful person from what I heard about him. But then I looked into him and decided to listen to what he had to say.
He has a long history of donating to women's charities, yet he's mysoginistic?
He built an orphanage for children, yet he's a self-centered ass?
The vast majority of women he's been with jumped to his defense at the allegations, saying he treats them extremely well and is a great person; and yet he's an abusive rapist for a couple of unconfirmed allegations?
He's stopped thousands of people from committing suicide, and inspired thousands of men (AND women) to better themselves and flooded his email with thanks on changing their lives for the better, to which he'll have email conversations and tries to reply to each one he receives; and yet he somehow doesn't care about people?

But oh no, they care. They care so much that they don't direct their attention to the actual abusers. When those come out, radio silence.
They're awful people who only care about telling the world "I'm a good person!" when they're not.

Not really, no. Everything boils into itself and the sheer act of pretending that absolutely nothing derives from one another is the main reason that despite both being conservative the Democrats and Republicans cannot agree on anything. Similarly saying something is "extreme" doesn't change whether it is applicable, and in this case it very much is. Democrats want conservatism (with random liberal stuffs to placate every once in a while) while Republicans just want to slash and burn. Something that very much falls into the comparison.

Even your own example did it: it is baked into the fabric of the argument. The difference between reality and a perfect world is that in a perfect world we wouldn't have the Legion of Doom as one of the two major parties.

Sure, but even if those people agree, there's subtle nuances that would suggest a complete difference in moral values.

Like, in the context of mass shootings, there's some people who would agree that murdering kids is bad, but don't believe that a child or even a few children's lives outweigh the right to own a firearm. There's some that may agree that generally murdering children is bad, but can be justifiable in certain scenarios. Then there's some who would think it's never acceptable to kill a child.

Can't just assume that because people agree on very basic principles that they're necessarily on the same page as you.

Nah it's still a whole other level compared to the minor shit people get villanized for on a daily basis. Like people who want IDs to be checked to vote. I've seen them called racist just for having that opinion when truth be told race had nothing to do with it they just let the media wind them up into thinking there's a lot of people voting multiple times .
