A lot of times shipping companies don't know how to properly ship IT packages so things get dislodged. As long as your willing to null a warranty, I almost always suggest digging into the machine yourself, and if you aren't go to a general pc repair shop and get them to do it for you. Mine added their own warranty in replacement. Just get a line interactive UPS then as those can recognize and mitigate brown-out situations faster than it can ever pose an issue for PCs and usually will do so before the voltage sags below the level required for proper operation.
