Some classes were useless. Some were not and some of the teachers were great. College classes were better, especially the ones in my major. I didn't get into the college social life. I kind of already did all that much younger. --- |

I was driving late one night without seeing any cars when suddenly a skinny man in jeans and no shirt, wild eyed and shaggy hair was running down the side of the road towards my car and as I passed him he either yelled "No!" or "Go!". I was expecting a zombie breakout in town but I guess it was a meth head. Once I was driving home and I thought a dog was walking across the road with something red in its mouth but it was a toddler that had just walked out of the house. I stopped and yelled "Your baby is in the road." They came out and got it like it was no big deal. --- |

You are right. Every school I've taught in and been to had a nurse. Not a trained teacher but an RN. Not only that, more than one in call because if we had a field trip with a certain students a nurse went too with equipment. Teachers are made aware of medical problems of their students if it is something that is life threatening and what to watch out for and what to do. --- |

While I bought some during the initial wave, I've picked up many more pretty cheaply because so many people wound up getting rid of them... which is probably stupid because I had most of the ones I owned packed away in bins, etc. True but the fidget spinner fad and cabbage patch fad was carried by rabid moms. I saw countless mothers going to great lengths on Facebook asking for certain colors, brands and types and where to get them. When a new shipment of cabbage patch dolls came in there were mom fighting in our local department store toy aisle. I agree most of these were to play with instead of to look at but I know older women who have unopened boxes of cabbage patch dolls who bought them back in the day as collectables because they thought they would be worth a lot. Beanie babies did their marketing well though playing into these people perfectly. --- |

I want to teach my kids cursive anyway but will not push it if they don't care. We have a lot of old family documents, letters, framed family trees that are written in a beautiful hand. It is kind of said that art is being lost. I took a calligraphy class in college as a fine art major. I don't use it at all but it seemed to help further eye-hand coordination and attention to detail that lent itself to my other classes. --- |

That was his only purchase. He kept rubbing his arm and I thought "Junkie." He asked the cashier as she was attending to me, "Is my arm swollen." She said she didn't think so. I looked back it seemed normal sized yet very red. He turned it over and I said "Yes, your arm is swollen." I noticed it had good sized holes in it and I asked what happened. He said he was attacked by a dog. I told him it was definitely swollen and he needed to see a doctor about a dog bite then I left. I saw him leave the store, clutching his Batman pillow and get into a minivan that had two women in it and drive off. So now I'm wondering just what the Hell the story is and the Batman pillow? --- |

| myghostisdead 02/07/18 3:57:00 PM #1 | I tried to pull my covers up to my chin the other morning but my hand slipped and I punched myself in the mouth. Not a good way to wake yourself up. I hit myself so hard I gave myself a fat lip. (I'm extremely clumsy...the only black eye I've ever had I gave to myself). The next day I started to get a strange sensation in my tooth. An itching type feeling that comes and goes. It isn't sensitive to hot or cold. Just a weird feeling. If it keeps going on I guess I'll have to go to the dentist. I don't want it to get pulled and look like a meth addict until they replace it or crown it. The sensation isn't as strong today though. --- |
