Only one thing comes to mind, dude who was going 15 mph, and his driver's side front tire didn't have a tire, so it was just grinding on the road, making a storm of sparkles. Guy had a deadpan face when I looked at him while passing.

dead deer in the middle of the road at night. it was dark so no one could see it until it was too late, and it had already been run over at least a half-dozen times and there was blood and guts everywhere. one second everything is normal, next second OMG utter carnage everywhere!, next second everything back to normal. I saw a dude on a motorbike going double the speed limit take a flatbed trailer end to the neck (it came around the corner and he was nowhere in sight when the guy would've looked). He was decapitated. I also saw a dude through a windshield after a head-on with one of those gravel dump trucks when we were on our way to see Batman Returns at the theatre. The moral of these stories is don't drive like an asshole and always wear a seatbelt. Fuck those guys. Darwin Award winners, right there.

I live out in the middle of nowhere so late at night you see very few cars on the road. I was driving late one night without seeing any cars when suddenly a skinny man in jeans and no shirt, wild eyed and shaggy hair was running down the side of the road towards my car and as I passed him he either yelled "No!" or "Go!". I was expecting a zombie breakout in town but I guess it was a meth head.

Once I was driving home and I thought a dog was walking across the road with something red in its mouth but it was a toddler that had just walked out of the house. I stopped and yelled "Your baby is in the road." They came out and got it like it was no big deal.

Stuff like that only bothers me if it's an innocent. We went out for a family lunch once and a pregnant woman and her father (iirc) were killed on a crosswalk by a dude who ran a red light. I can't remember if they managed to save the baby or not, but the husband of the young woman was widowed with another kid, I think (and this was just before Xmas, no less)... They just had a big sheet over them and tried to block the view as best they could. We later found out those other details, but we were there like right after the EMS people and police. That bothered me even though I didn't see it actually happen. The other guys, I just thought "good" and continued about my day. I didn't even lose my appetite :P

Used to be a long-distance truck driver, I've seen tons of stuff.

Traffic come to a dead stop because a moose was on the highway. Those things are enormous.

Some guy jacking off while driving.

Lady driving while eating food from a take-out carton... with chopsticks. No hands on the wheel, one hand on the carton and the other using the chopsticks.

Woman giving a dude road head, kneeling in the passenger seat, completely bent over wearing no pants, with her ass and vagina on full display out the passenger side window.

Countless people reading books, magazines, open laptops... not so strange I guess, but it's something I couldn't consider doing while driving.

A body that had been ejected from a vehicle laying in the middle of the highway. Got there right as the state police were shutting down the highway, they put a sheet over the body.

I've seen cars driving down the wrong way on the highway twice.

Watched two rollovers as they happened.

This reminds me, I've seen multiple vehicle fires, but one crazy one in particular was down in the Bronx. Full tractor trailer engulfed in flames. Whole highway was shut down, and two tires on the trailer exploded as I drove by on the opposite side of the highway. Fire department was hanging way back. Those tires can kill a person when they blow out.

The weirdest thing I saw was what looked like one woman using her car's front bumper to push forward the car of a guy in front of her as we all inched forward bit by bit in a traffic jam. It looked really odd but both of them were acting as if nothing was out of the ordinary. I think they probably knew each other.

Also I've seen a couple accidents.

I have seen full vehicle fires myself. One was a stole vehicle, me and my friends called the fire department and they told us that much.

Once, I was driving behind a huge semi-truck. I saw a huge bird fly down and in front of the truck. The next thing I saw were feathers. Feathers everywhere. That truck made a bird explode. I also once though a huge dog was in the middle of the road on my way home from work around midnight. Turns out, it was just a cow...

I didn't see this myself, but a very close friend said one time, she was about to drive through an intersection at the town center(outdoor mall). before she got to the intersection, she saw cars coming from both sides. Both had a stop sign and neither stop. She said they were even looking at the road. She was mad because she said it people like them that give women drivers a bad rep...

Oh. Also, saw a guy during the icy season driving down the road. His car was at like a 45 angle... He didn't seem phase at all...

One of the worst things Ive ever seen. Was behind this guy who was clearly drunk driving on a Friday at like 3:30pm. Less than a minute after pointing out to my friend how wasted this dude was, he plows into the back of a fucking Miata where this older woman had her tiny little dog sticking its head out the window and it gets launched out of the window, sliding across like 3 or 4 lanes of the freeway, into a little dirt hill on the far right of the road. The dog got up and started running down the freeway and all I remember is seeing the woman in tears, hop out of her totaled car and chase her dog down the freeway.

The most I can think of was as a passenger of a taxi heading to the airport (in Hong Kong), but we were about half a minute or so too slow to see a wreck where some SUV in front of a tourbus was going too fast on a curve, lost control, and rolled over leaving a pile of glass. The taxi driver only stopped to check if the way was clear on the opposite lane when driving past the wreck and I bet that tourbus driver had quite a highlight of a day.
