maybe instead of putting all those resources into locking up and brutalizing a struggling population(mainly black people) put more into building a decent society to live in. a healthy living environment instead of endless buy-ins, swindles and land mines.

Trump and his fans are the most thin-skinned people on the god damn planet. And I am no fan of Obama.

The original RE games are the exact same lengthwise. What are people expecting? You could blow through them.

I just looked and there's someone who completed Leon A in like 48 mins on old RE2. These were not long games. They were expensive too when they came out.

Why wouldnt you take the bus unless you had to get to work or something directly after school? Whats the point? All youre doing is wasting gas, fighting traffic and risking accident with so many other inexperienced drivers around.

Best case for Biden is one term warming the seat for the next Trump-like figure. He will be so unbelievably unpopular if he is in there.

Elizabeth Warren is the most dishonest candidate in this primary.

The Democrats circled the wagons. The centrists said that if the field were narrowed Sanders wouldn't be ahead, and as much as I dislike and even disrespect them, they were right about this.

So is Bernie still ahead?

we won't know until tonight or longer. I'd say Texas is the big state to watch--if he can't pull out a win there things aren't good for him. On the polls from this morning Biden had like a 2 point lead. So it's surmountable. I've seen some encouraging things that say turnout there and in CA is up which would be great news but I don't know if any of it's true.

I think the leftist movement will still grow strong. Its galvanized so many of us young folk that it wont stop. People like AOC is proof of that. Hell, people like Cisneros who is campaigning out in Texas for a congressional seat is proof of that and shes even younger at 26.

This movement isnt going anywhere even if Bernie loses again

Yep it's not like if Sanders loses I'm suddenly going to say "well, I guess I better give up hope for healthcare, attainable education/self-betterment, and a healthy and clean environment". If they think a Sanders loss is just going to end this stuff they are sorely mistaken. I will support those things(and more) to the bitter end.

he was likely always a career climber. You start by building progressive credibility to gain your initial popularity(think obama) then ditch those values when the donors come a courting and learn to sell right-wing policies to left-wing voters. Then either you succeed or become some talking head blowhard. And bam, thats how you make a career in Democratic politics.
TopicDo you guys believe that Bernie Sanders could beat Trump?

Yes and he has the best chance of the Democrats. He's the only one Trump can't effectively dunk on and be an anti-hero against. But the Democrats care more about stopping progressive policy than they do about beating trump.

Iowa had favorable Biden polls and we saw how that turned out.

New Hampshire, not so much.

Nevada similar story to NH.

I'm just not sold that these Biden polls and strong SC showing will be enough to GOTV. he's had minimal to no spending in some Super Tuesday states and no campaign staff in others. Wondering how well that translates

Iowa and NH had Buttigieg and/or Klobuchar(did relatively well in NH) for non-Sanders voters to flow to. Trump has shown that you can win with minimal GOTV and Biden looks to today as well.

I don't really know what the way forward is for the left if these expected results come to pass tbh

Supposedly ridiculous shifts to Biden. Biden favored in Texas, Virginia, NC now.

Oh well. Enjoy 4 more years of Trump, or best case 4 years of a right-wing democrat warming the seat for the next trump, if global warming hasn't fucked up the whole thing already by then.
