You got two official parties, one is basically evil that hates everything that is not rich white hetrosexual christian cis males and the other is basically stupid that does anything to lose power.
From time to time a third candidate is mentioned, but only as a laughing stock.
You hate the direction both parties walks, and yet it ends with you voting on them and then complain some.
There must be enough people that are tired of this crap to crowdfund a third party that gets enough votes to make a difference.
The power is supposed to come from the people, but all I see are politicans that draws voting districts after how people vote and making it harder to vote, just to stay at power.

We are a heavily controlled society in ways it's difficult to even wrap your mind around. With the electoral college it pretty much makes it impossible for a third party to do anything besides make it easier for the worst party to win. Even if a good third party did form they would get completely ignored by media and then bludgeoned by the democrats after the elections for helping the republicans win like how people blame Ralph Nader for Bush in 2000.

I don't live there but the classic attack pattern by right-wing governments is to cut funding, then use the subsequent worse results to attack the services for being "inefficient" and build support for further privatization.

I remember in elementary getting yelled at so much for not doing homework or having it properly done. At that age who gives a damn? I just want to go home and play. The WW stuff was so stupid. The very first scene of the show sets them up as this existential threat to humanity, and then throughout the show the majority of people in power ignore it despite warnings as the threat grows. It was supposed to be a completely different director originally, I think Guillermo Del Toro or whatever his name is. But he wanted to do it his own way but the studio wanted it to be exactly like Peter Jackson. So Del Toro quit and they threw money at Jackson to do another trilogy

I think that's how it went anyway. But Hobbit in a totally different style would have been awesome.

It was horrendous. Showrunners badly needed to hand the show off to someone who weren't burnt out and were willing to finish things the right way. They clearly weren't that interested anymore and just wanted to move onto other projects but their egos wouldn't let them. I think HBO offered them a blank check and they were like "nah".

Every year that goes by the less I am afraid of dying. In my teens the idea was terrifying. Now in my 30s it's not what I'd want to happen but the idea feels way less dreadful than it once did.

That said I'd probably still choose immortality if I were granted that option.

When I was younger it depressed me but now not so much. Some just aren't cut out for dating/marriage and are better off searching for other things to live for.
