TopicIf you have a degree, what is it in? Do your friends respect it?

I have a BA in Poli Sci from 15yrs ago, I've never worked directly in that field. I don't know that my friends necessarily respect the degree, it just doesn't seem relevant to our friendship.

I definitely enjoyed that movie back in the day, but it has some of the worst ADR in a Sandler movie, and that's saying something.

TopicAmerican CEmen; how common is it to see fat people in Walmart scooters?

I almost never see fat people on scooters in Walmart but that's because I've only been in Walmart like 6 times in my entire life, so its not common for me to see anyone or anything there ever.

That said, I do see many overweight people almost everywhere I go. Most of them aren't on mobility scooters though.

When I was a kid on family vacations we would do multiple day camping trips at lakes and beaches. As an adult, I'll do maybe a one day drive to a nearby beach if I'm on a trip in a nearby area.

I've changed an alternator, a fanbelt, and batteries/wiper blades of course. I also helped my brother-in-law replace my radiator fan assembly once, though he is far more knowledgeable about cars so he did the bulk of the work. I've also replaced the positive battery terminal fuse module on my car, which isn't difficult either.

But anything beyond that, I've not done myself. I'd just take it to a shop.

That wording is vague enough that the exhaust from any vehicle would violate that prospective law. Glad these folks are getting paid to do this.

I remember early streaming Netflix had loads of softcore porn.

Yep, and the top comments were just list of timestamps of the most "important" scenes

Yeah he didn't make a lot of money, but they lived in a very inexpensive area at the time, and they lived fairly frugally.

Why are you taking blood pressure meds to reduce your blood pressure if your blood pressure is too low? I would think your doc would have taken you off of them entirely, that's really weird to me.

Nice, I've noticed they've been getting the returns back within a few days in the last several years. I haven't filed yet this year, still waiting on one more item I think. But maybe by the end of the month I'll have everything I need.

The problem with releasing any MP game these days is that gamers expect continued frequent additions/changes even after launch, and aren't patient or content enough to just enjoy what is there.

Personally, the 3v3 or whatever it was, small team size didn't appeal to me. It expects this super competitive mindset and skill set that I just can't dedicate the time to. I play my games more for fun these days, I don't want all that stress in there too.

It might be that folks who are just wired that way find their way into those positions. The person I'm thinking of is just super high strung in all their social situations too, its never related to how stressed about something they should be. They just come in hot all the time, and feel like everything is supposed to always be on the edge (or pushed over the edge) or it just isn't right. They've got to be fixing a disaster, or narrowly avoiding an imminent disaster, all the time and they can't just let things be fine if they are fine.
