| jcmason 12/30/21 8:46:25 AM #34 | I still have an OLED Samsung TV from 2010, and the picture still looks great on it, so I'm definitely leaning towards an OLED whenever I finally replace this one. Burn in never really happened on it until the last year or so, and even then, it goes away pretty fast whenever you get a video running. I played exclusively with random matchmaking, human players are pretty much always better than the two AI players, though I understand the player base is much smaller now so its probably difficult to get a couple randoms together. The attention to detail in the maps is pretty incredible, probably the best adaptation of the films Ive ever seen. Its definitely repetitive but thats just the nature of L4D-like games, so you have to be ready for that. It might be a bit uncomfortable at first, as your body gets used to them, but it is vital. I liked it as well, I thought the core cast did great and the movie was a lot of fun. Arizonan here, in the first two weeks of my kids school weve already had two separate confirmed instances of COVID in the school. My son missed the last two days due to being out on quarantine from being in contact with the first case, though we werent told he was in contact until six days after it happened. Still awaiting his test results, so hes entering day three of quarantine. Not a lot of fun having to keep a seven year old stuck in his room for three days, and if it turns out hes positive, then hell be in there another five days. And if it turns out he was also exposed to the second case, then this shit starts all again. It just felt like the leveling was scaled in a way that you needed to do almost every quest and fight in every area, in the right order, to really be able to progress at the pace they wanted you to. The cards felt like they add good variability and the various guns I tried all felt good. The campaign time being almost an hour long to complete might be a limiting factor for me though. I think the ~20min runs from the previous game were kind of the sweet spot for me, its hard for me to dedicate a full uninterrupted hour to gaming these days. Ill have to try the PvP when the beta opens again today, I didnt try it over the weekend, but Im not terribly interested in the PvP anyway.
