That does seem like a fun step that they didn't have to make the effort to do, but its cool that they did.

Sort of like how some of the Assassin's Creed games had some relatively consistent layouts of ancient cities. Neat that they make the effort.

He had just finished working an overnight shift as a security guard, and cracked open a few beers even though it was about 7:30a. I've got plenty of responsibilities (full-time job, wife, two kids, house, etc) and I don't post on CE much, mostly just lurk a little bit, but it doesn't feel weird talking to folks younger than me.

When I was in my 20s I regularly interacted with people older than me, so it seems reasonable to interact with those in their 20s while I'm in my 30s now.

Sure, I may not be keeping up with all of the latest references like I did when I was younger, but we're all still humans so we can still get along.

His motives were super flawed, he really just wanted to kill at least half of the beings in the universe, and that's it.

You figure, he had already waged wars for at least decades where he would eliminate half the population of various planets through traditional warfare. Do you think he left those groups out of his 50/50 execution? Nope, just purged them in half again.

And did he take in to account sentient beings who had taken efforts to reduce their consumption of goods? Maybe long-lived races who already moderated their breeding and used minimal resources to live? Nope, 50/50 for everyone.

He was simply a mass-murderer and that's all he ever wanted to be. Couldn't he have used the magic glove to make resources more bountiful, or reduce the amount of resources all advanced beings needed to exist? But his solution was just eliminating half of the sentient beings in the universe.

Marvel has generally had problems with weak villains in the MCU, with a few exceptions, but Thanos was certainly one of the weaker ones.

I've watched bitcoin for some time, and the utility just hasn't made sense for so long. Early on, when transactions were reasonable, it was interesting, but with all the speculation money flooding in, it seems to have priced itself out of utility. Especially when something like ether does everything it could do, plus more, for waaaay less, and way faster.

I know plenty of people that benefit from locking down their budgets, and watching every purchase and tracking daily what they've spent on each category, so that may be a good option for you. Apps like Mint (and there are plenty of them like that) can notify you when you exceed thresholds that you set.

That said, personally, those things don't tend to help me. I know I overspend on food, but everything else is pretty static and in control, so I just spend less than I make and save the rest. If you have the option to direct deposit part of you pay check into a separate account, or into an investment, then that might help too. Then you don't even see the money, and it just gets saved automatically. Things like Acorns can be used that way.

The first episode of that show uses the n-word multiple times, but they definitely stray away from that sort of humor as time goes on. I chalk it up just to a change in what sort of humor they are going for, and what they really want to write. I haven't seen the latest season, but the rest of that show has been fantastic from the beginning.

Its definitely one of my favorites. That movie has a great cast, and you can really feel a brotherhood between those characters that just seems so honest.

The anachronistic music is excellent, people who think it ruins the movie are just wrong.

I wouldnt say it is vital to network in order to get jobs, but the folks who do network will have a much better chance at getting a job than someone coming in cold. This seems to become more and more true as your progress through your career, at least in the industry I currently work in.

Its not uncommon for a new CEO to come in (or someone at the c-suite level) and they bring along a few folks from their previous company, because they know these folks and know how they work. Our last CEO brought in our current financial controller because they had worked a number of years together at another company. And our controller brought in a senior account who he had worked with for a number of years as well.

Cant speak to all industries but it seems common in this side of the gaming industry at least.

I watched Seinfeld when it was on, and in syndication for years afterwards, and it was always fun.

I've only recently tried watching Curb, but since it's streamable, I'll watch a couple episodes in a row. I find it harder to digest it though, I think it's just a bit too much cringe in a single sitting. Maybe it would work better with one episode per week.

I would imagine hes more irritated with the fact that a couple months ago you told him you were good to keep living together, and now youve changed that and so his plans have to change at the last minute.

Sure, its understandable that you could not have predicted the change in your job circumstances back when you said you would keep living together, but its also understandable for him to be frustrated that this changed so close to the deadline. Now hes got to scramble to find another person to move in.
