Two cards off in a row. Maybe it's for the best. Time to think and rest is good.

I've been at the top for so long, that I've almost forgotten what it feels like to not have to worry, even if it's just for a moment. Make no mistake though, relaxation is a thing I'm no longer comfortable with.

Still, I'm enjoying it while I can. I've heard your message, CPU, and rest assured, I will respond, and I will be ready, but, as I said before, all in due time.

For now, I'm here to enjoy a rejuvinated UCA unlike anything I've ever seen.

The only thing I want to focus on right now is CPU, or the people who control him, or the robot (android?) in his place. Honestly, I'm even more confused now than I was a few days ago.

Regardless, picking a challenger can wait, even if it is for the most prestigious title in the UCA. In due time all will become apparent, and, as long as I'm involved, you better believe that a show of the highest quality will be put on.

All I know now, though, is that I'm laser focused. If whoever is in charge of CPU wants me to wait for some unknown reason, then so be it, but don't expect me to sit on my hands in anticipation of what's to come next.

The longer you make me wait, the lower your odds of victory become.

I've had some time to think, some time to recover, after the grueling few weeks and subsequent title defense that I just went through, and I'm ready for the next challenge, the next obstacle to me as Champion, but more importantly, to me as a member of the UCA as a whole.

Before I began focusing on Strife, it's no secret that CPU and I were at odds on a lot of issues. While the SSW invasion as a whole has seemingly died down, there is unfinished business there when it comes to me and that one man.

To be honest, I'm not even sure what's going on with SSW and CPU. Is he still with us, has he been replaced? I'm as confused as the rest of us.

Regardless, I was told to deal with my duties as Champion by CPU himself, and, well, here I am. I've got no one else to deal with as of now, so I'm coming for you. Coming to finally settle this issue that has seemingly gone forever. Coming to show you, that, when I'm at my best, and focused, I'm unstoppable.

Enjoy your match tonight, CPU, but let your higher-ups know that I'm here, and I'm expecting a fight.

I thought Dark Cloud 2 did a good job of breaking up the monotony by having a hundred different things to do.

Bored of grinding? You've got fishing, spheda, picture taking and inventing, amongst other things.

It felt like there were a million different things to do in the game, to the point where it's kind of overwhelming, but it made me think that there was always something else to do if I was tired of one thing.

I'm still here. Another victory. I've won the battle against Strife, but at what cost?

This isn't what I wanted to be, not the Champion that I foreseen myself as. Strife brought out parts of me, parts that I'm not proud of. He twisted my mind, had me convinced that what was right was wrong, and for a few moments there, I was a different man.

Since day one, I've boasted about respect, hard work, earning chances, and fighting fair. In the last week, I showed very little of any of those things, and for that, I apologize. Both to myself, who I promised when I won the title that I'd reign a certain way, and to the UCA, who I feel like I let down when I contradicted my prior points.

Strife presented a challenge unlike anything I've ever come up against, and the truth is, there are parts of me that will be forever changed because of him.

At the end of the day, though, I'm still here, still champion, and still ready to do whatever it takes to prove that my values and core beliefs are ones that can be followed.

The reign continues.

But where does it go next? With our future in doubt, and the end seemingly near, now more than ever it means something to be the Undisputed Champion, the top guy in a company with a dark future.

We've still a ways to go, though. My goal has been to remain champion for as long as possible, and now I've got a specific date in mind.

As for the present, I'm ready for whatever is thrown at me. A new challenger, eager to rip this title out of my hands? An old adversary, ready to settle the score once and for all? Only time will tell.

I agree with Strife's thoughts, though. I know that the roster has been on a decline for awhile now, and the level of engagement heavily varies between those who do show up, but there is a core here who really cares about what's going on and about the UCA as a whole.

I've only been here for a year, but I've been coming to B8 for 10 years, and this has easily been the highlight of my time here. UCA is the reason that I've been more active on the board in the last year than I have been in the previous 9 before that combined, and it's pretty gutting that this thing that has been so positive for me is coming to an end.

As the "top guy" it also sucks because I feel like I'm in my "prime" here and was hoping that there would continue to be big things to come for me. I also kind of feel like I'm partly responsible for this apathy, because it only really came to real fruition after I became "the guy". I know that's probably silly and selfish of me to think that that is the case though.

I want to main event Epopmania, that's been the goal. It's still the goal, but it's bittersweet knowing that it's the end.

32. Beat a game with a non-white lead

Watch Dogs 2

Initially, I was planning on talking about how I thought this was a good game, with a story and overall concept that I found interesting, but with gameplay that didn't click with me, until it did. I spent most of the game just trying to get through the story missions after doing most of the optional stuff as quickly as possible because I didn't find the core gameplay very fun, until I actually decided to utilize the hacking stuff during combat.

By the last few missions, I was running through buildings filled with enemies without getting hit at all or killing because of the hacking, and it greatly increased my enjoyment overall.

I also got every single optional trophy before doing any of the story stuff, which meant I got the platinum trophy right when I beat the game. It was an interesting way of doing things as I'm often ready to move on from a game after I finish the story, so I didn't have to grind through anything during the post-game.

I've been on both sides of the Joker equation. Before I started reading comics, I couldn't get enough of him and thought he was easily the best of Batman's villains, but after having him shoved into every story, game, and movie, I've grown incredibly tired of him, especially since it feels like it's the same story every time.

Comics has also shown me what the movies haven't and that is that there are so many better stories to tell with every other Batman character.

I love the Arkham games, but by the time Arkham Knight came around, I was so tired of dealing with the Joker. The best parts of that game were the moments when you interacted with some of the other villains.

I just don't get it, I don't understand. I've been replaying that night in my head since it happened, replaying what it felt like to enter that bus and see everything I've worked for in pieces, and I don't get it.

Have I been going about this the wrong way? Have I convinced myself that the way I've reigned these last few months, with honour, respect, and hard work, are the right ways to go, or is it all a lie?

I've prided myself on my own way of being Champion, my own way of doing things, and I've succeeded, but you're trying to ruin that for me, Strife. It's not enough that you want to take my title away, my pride, but you've attempted to destroy everything that has got me here along the way, and I can't get it out of my head.

The world you live in is dark, it's cruel, unforgiving, and that's how you strive. You bring your opponents to these dark places, spew your propaganda, mess with their heads, break them down, and when you're faced with a husk of a man, you attack. It's worked before, and it's working now. Everyone you've gone up against has succumbed to your tactics, too lost in themselves to think of a way of fighting back. You haven't fought fairly Strife, and it's become increasingly apparent as I've been lost in my own thoughts that, maybe, it isn't possible to win this fight fairly.

I'm tired of your shit. I'm tired of your rise, tired of your short reign as King, tired of your demons and your fear and your belief that death, darkness, and weakness is what defines us here at the UCA.

I am not a husk, I am not going to cower over and heel to the darkness, and I am not going to lose to you, no matter the cost.

You want darkness, huh? You want me to stoop to your level? Is that what you want? I'm not afraid anymore, because I see what needs to be done...

*David slams Strife's head on the table, walks over to him, picks him up, and powerbomb's him through it*

How does it feel Strife? How does the table taste? Has the fear set in yet?

*David throws Strife out of the ring, towards the commentary booth*

Do you smell the death now, Strife? You can't stop talking about these tables, can you? How does the other end of it feel?

*David picks up Strife again, only to powerbomb him through the announcer's table. He picks him up for a third time, and powerbomb's him on the apron*

8. Beat a spin-off or a game that rebooted a franchise

Game of Thrones

Other than the 3 just released games (TWD S3, Batman, GotG), I've now played every one of the "modern" Telltale games, and this is easily the worst of those.

I don't watch Game of Thrones, but the game did make me interested in looking into it, and because I didn't really care about the characters or lore, I found myself making choices I usually wouldn't in a Telltale game, which ended up being an interesting experience.

I wouldn't call it a bad game, and I don't regret playing it, but it's definitely not as good as any of the other Telltale stuff.

That moment as a newbie where golf swinging technique clicked and I was able to hit a golfball like 10x as far despite putting way less power into the swing was magical.

It's honestly unlike any other feeling.

I get to feel that every year though, because I only golf once or twice a year and forget all of the techniques I've learned in between.

It takes 3-4 holes before I convince myself that I don't need to be swinging as hard as possible only to miss the ball completely. Even then, I still only manage to hit it half-decent a very small percentage of the time.

Golf might be the hardest sport to play, at least casually.
