Honestly I wish it was just an actual atmospheric subtle Dark Souls ripoff.

I mean, this is all they had to do. Give us a silent protag in a suit of armor (or give us a character creator) and let us go to town on some classic FF enemies.

I honestly don't see how anyone was impressed by GoTG. Framerate looked to be in the single digits. And it's 2021 - any action game that has you uncontrollably slide down hills should be banned.

I like the idea of the story driven choices and the character writing seems okay.

CG trailers generally don't work, I sometimes give a pass for sequels.

CG trailers for new IPs, IMHO, mean the game doesn't exist yet as far as I'm concerned.

long cg trailers in particular. they'd be better off with something 2 minutes long that is at least attention grabbing / oblique enough to generate discussion about what it could be.
