Soshi changed a lot through the years even for idols. A lot has to do with their styling though, the same person the same day can look pretty different depending on styling. If Sunny styled herself the same as she did before she'd look less different, but her styling is very different. And then of course there's natural aging and who knows. Question, where does "seagullmarin" come from? |

You're such a veteran fan but sometimes your expectations are too high or don't even make sense. It's not just supposed to be the exact same song, they're supposed to sing it differently. KaZooo posted... Actually, I like the Twice chorus over the demo. Mmm, I like Twice's chorus more, too. Just cuz it's different, I like new and different. Zara's is a demo of a good song but Twice didn't make it bad, they just made it theirs. You're right, it's just who they are, and the direction they're going with. And yeah they're Twice so they can do without any one or all of our opinions anyways. I think because the note is too short for her. Jihyo has very long high notes. Here she's just getting warmed up and all of a sudden the note is over lol. The song is just a different style than what they were doing until more recently. And it's weird because it's not supposed to be sung like they do... but that actually just makes me like it more. |

I remember when I was in your place just starting to get into Kpop, and actually a lot of my input in the beginning I got from this very thread. If I may give you a big suggestion what you should do is kind of build a new habit, set however much time aside you can where you just start exposing yourself to new (or as the case may be, old) Kpop, pretty much indiscriminately. Just start clicking, dive in, soak on it, absorb it. I think it's a phase that every Kpop fan needs to go through, at least for some time. And as it happens with every new hobby/interest, you very well may have to take some time off another... A diet consisting mostly of Twice memes and Momoland pix, hey I know it's delicious, far be it from me to speak against it, specially here, I'd be a gargantuan hypocrite, but... I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, but I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't really think that you'd really enjoy discovering new (and old) stuff. I think if you ask any real Kpop fan they will tell you so. |

So chances are you're going to like or at least appreciate most of the older stuff. There might be some you don't of course but that's okay, I'm sure the more you look around the more gems you'll find. What have you listened to and possibly like that's older than say... 2015? Say before Twice debut. |

On the other hand that is a good point, bullying is known to be a problem in Korea for starters and some kids may be carrying a lot of bad attitude, the chances that everything will go well with such a character in the mix are messed up since the beginning. And then you have the straight out criminals like Seungri, but I digress. YamaChan posted... Groups should just air out their grievances instead of letting them slowly build into long-lasting grudges. Solar and Moonbyul have come to blows before. More than once. But two members of Mamamoo have been best friends since middle school (Wheein and Hwasa). Exactly, all groups have to find their own ways to get along. Some manage better than others and some obviously manage much worse, for various reasons, some maybe out of their control. Generally speaking fans need to be more realistic but what's new. Anyways I'm still shocked, you hate to see it no matter what, and so sorry for Mina, I really hope she can recover, she obviously had to endure a lot of crap. And yeah I'm also wondering whether this had something to do with Choa's departure, maybe there were other unrelated reasons, maybe it was the main reason why she left. |
