From my experience, cause of death is a lot more complicated than one would think and the factors related to it can be numerous.

Using the terminal cancer example. Sure, the patient was going to die soon, but COVID-19 could have hasten their death. On the flip side, people die from secondary infections so technically you could argue that it wasn't COVID-19 that did it.

Pretty much, what makes it worse is each nation (or even each province/state) measures differently so even the inaccuracies are in varying degrees. It's this gap in knowledge that's preventing places from properly opening/closing up so the hospital system are not overflowing.

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/07/06/health/spain-coronavirus-antibody-study-lancet-intl/index.html

Okay this is CNN so I want to unpack from the actual article and just focus on the numbers.

5% of the population has antibodies. Let's start there.

Spain's population is like 47-50 million.

Spain has approximately 250k confirmed cases.

For 5% of their population to have antibodies... It means that 2.35 million people in Spain have had the virus.

Now, we also have another study that says antibody presence to tests fades quickly but that the immunity remains achieved within tcells regardless of antibodies showing.

Thus, there may be even MORE than this amount that have had the virus.

So 2.35 million+ and 250k confirmed cases. That means only 10.6% of the cases were confirmed that existed (at most). Thus for every confirmed case likely another 9 went undiagnosed.

At least.

I mean Spain has around a 10% mortality rate so it's quite clear they are either only testing vulnerable people or people who are quite sick. The adjustment puts the mortality rate at just under 1% which is more in line with the 0.3%-1% death rate that's been estimated...

Only thing I can think of is that the combination of paralysis and speed drops contained a miscalculation. So instead of...

Speed * (2/4)[stat drops] * (1/4)[paralysis]

It was for example calculated as

Speed * (2/4)[stat drops] / (1/4)[paralysis]

You would have to look at the game code for the true calculation.

Went through the trailers for Smash 4 and Ultimate. I only counted the "trailer part" and not the "gameplay part." Also trailers where multiple characters were revealed (e.g. Charizard & Greninja) were only counted once.

Additionally I only counted Mario and Link for the Inkling trailer (along with Inkling of course) as they were the only characters visible while the others were silhouettes.

The Top 5
1. Mario - 14
2. Link - 12
3. Kirby - 8
4. Samus - 7
5. Bowser - 6
5. Donkey Kong - 6

Also the following have yet to appear in a trailer: Dr. Mario, Ice Climbers, Ike, Jigglypuff, Lucario, Ness, Pichu, R.O.B., Shiek, Solid Snake, Squirtle, Toon Link, Young Link.

So I still don't get it but whatever. You have a game where you can saw people in half but M rating. But if you saw someone having sex or having huge nudity but nobody get's hurt it is AO rating.
If USA was a conservative country(like most Middle East Countries for example)I would understand it. But we are talking about a country that produces the most porn on the world and there are so many groups fighting to have people beeing naked on their home and stuff like that.
So yeah.

The United States is a big enough country where it can be hyper-sexualization and anti-sex at the same time. It's the same thing with alcohol.

So how would people interpret Other's continual strong performance in this poll every time it's run?
If even Microsoft is under 1%, it strongly suggests nothing from this millennium could be contributing anything noteworthy to Other.
Atari doing so well means I could maybe buy about half of Other being from its pre-crash console competitors. But what else is there that mattered at all that the other options don't cover? At that point you're left with total dregs.
I think the real answer is probably that many people aren't interpreting "video game system" to necessarily mean "video game console." Other is doing extremely well in the U.K. and I know their early home gaming scene was dominated by home computers of the era like the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum.

Another option is the various handheld systems released over the years
