BUT... whenever I move anywhere, I spend on movers. I could do it myself but I pulled my back out last time I did so... fuck that.

Ive moved four times in the last five years. My clinic bought me movers during the last move...so freaking nice Ill be hiring them if the next place doesnt also pay for the move.

Whats it like? Whenever your ask on money forums I go to I just hear about 2 AM phone calls about clogged toilets and tenants trashing a place or deciding they wont pay.

Sunny just sort of an aggressive bully. Theres a few of them here.

computer, and its working out pretty well. I got a mouse, trackpad, keyboard, and pencil for it (dont really need both the mouse and trackpad, but I was interested in trying to see the best setup.

The only issues I have are related to things I shouldnt entirely be doing or some hobby projects (like having my Own website). These could all be gotten around with more money. I use calibre to manage my Kindle, an overdrive command line (legal) workaround to download mp3 audiobooks from the library, things like that. I dont think I could remote into work from my iPad, but thats the biggest limitation I see.

But I have music recording, guitar effect processing, digital painting, python programming, research, and writing all down. My pro is also just 64 GB, which will be an issue if I didnt have my computer to back up some stuff with. I dont PC game, only console game, so thats not an issue. I *might* be able to give up the TV also if I wanted to stream everything from PS4 to iPad and buy a faster internet connection. But Id say an iPad could replace a laptop for most college students now. I tried to do it in college, but it just wasnt there yet with iOS still being used over iPadOS.

@ChaosAzeroth I went to a public high school in Utah, USA.

We went from like 730 to 230 (idk exactly) with early out Fridays. We also had an AB class schedule. I did all my homework during other classes unless I needed a computer, which I tried to do as far as possible in advance (like outlining the book during month 1 if I knew I had to do it anyway).

We had the option of taking a free period for a full credit each year, and had the option of graduating half a year early if we chose to not take any free periods (most people went the full time though). We had a good amount of electives to choose form, I took racquet sports, a lot of cooking, astronomy, finance, and some other really enjoyable classes.

There really was very little to no bullying that I noticed. I never heard of someone getting beat up. The people who dressed up as anime characters and ran around the halls got made fun of of course, but not really harassed and definitely not physically harassed. If a fight happened it was usually the popular clique, who was welcoming to me when I was new and clearly didnt fit in with them. Or a fight at a football game between people at different schools. People asked me if I was homosexual a lot and some rumors were started, but it never affected me and I was never harassed about it, just asked commonly. There was the loner weirdo who would launch tennis balls at people and talk about wanting to start a shooting, but people just ignored him. One of my best friends got a lot of verbal hate before dropping out, but he purposefully got it by being loud and having some unprompted insults.

The quality of the teaching....most teachers cared. I had some run ins with a few, but it wasnt bad. Even the ones who didnt care I managed to learn a lot from their lesson plans and reading the text.

And part of my dislike of work is Im not a specialized person at heart, I try to be a generalist in skills and education. I like science as much as I like sports, art, or working on a car... which also may mean I dont really like anything (which may be true, Im going through major personal changes at the moment). Focusing on one area too much makes me feel out of whack. I didnt experience bullying until I started having work colleagues. I am judged when I say Im spending time changing my own oil or going to a play, and in some cases told I should not be doing these things (blah blah its more efficient to just work more and pay the dealer to do the change).

But yeah, people in Utah tend to be very nice to each other, accepting of differences, promote kids doing arts and academics, and when theres a culture of being nice everyone is nice. Its a great place.

I did experience some bullying in 2nd and 5th grade in California and Nevada...ended up homeschooling for a few years.

Id vote Kanye.

School is so much better than work. You get the time to have a general education instead of having a hyper focused role. You also are exposed to a wider variety of people and interests and have more freedom over your schedule.

High School > Undergrad > Grad School >> Work

There also wasnt really an issue with bullying in my school. The people who perceived themselves to be bullied really just had bad anxiety, and even asking them what anime they like they perceived as being made fun of if the asker was from the more liked crowds.

I'm a high school teacher now. I wanted to become the teacher that I desperately needed as a teen.

HS teacher seems like it would be an enjoyable job, just treat the kids like people and theyll treat you well.

Didn't read the article, but laughed at the joke since I was expecting a real rename. Rarely actually laugh IRL from something I see online.

Highly recommend buds to anyone, either airpods or galaxy buds. I've used both and they're so convient. I didn't realize how many more podcasts I'd be listening to owning a pair.

It's pretty fun to walk around random islands or underwater in street view. Checking out the coral reef is cool, I believe somewhere off the coast of Australia a giant sea turtle was following the photographer because the turtle is in every shot.

I suffer from migraines also, they get pretty bad. I'm not sure if I'd call it complaining as much as talking about a major part of your life. Any day it's possible you might wake up and need to be laying on the bathroom floor for the rest of your day feeling incredibly bad pain.

Sometimes I think it's just growing up, which prevents me from seeing someone about it.

Yeah, I go through periods of just not liking anything.

Nothing I do actually matters. I'm lonely and no amount of pushing effort put into reality ever changes anything.

I...feel the same man. The only thing I find that gets me through is having good relationships with those around me.

It's a great series. It's amazing how they kept the quality so consistent over such a long timespan.

Yeah, I'm playing through TLOU PS4 now and I can't believe how violent it feels after playing uncharted.

bit better than the original. More mature, better humor, better animation. I heard it was better, but I'm surprised by how much. I loved the original, hope I like this just as much.

Yeah, there's so many endings and different paths you can take. It's unlikely you'll see the same story.

I ended up seeing it live front row. I'm really looking forward to watching it.

Youre right.

Its been that way for like a decade now. They claim the income is fake, I ask if they want to see a paystub, they say no. The claim the numbers change....they do as you factor in bonuses/matching...theres multiple ways to report. Ive posted my degrees on here before. Ive met up with three now-former PotDers in person and sold physical items to two others. Ive been blogfaqsing about each stage of my career and life since high school.

Though also, a lot of PotDers are called out by several different users. Unless its something obviously fake like the tinder babes topics by knight, I tend to believe people. Others here...dont and have similar reaction of just believing people. Maybe theres still some Chelle-pain eight years later.

People do give similar hate/accusations towards people, like Jen and sunny, for other topics. There was a time over half the board thought I was Balor because Bardi brought the accusation up so often that others started. Then some significant portion thought I was an alt of Thunders. Its just PotD.

Theres really not much truth in his post other than its boring I post about jobs and money a million times.

Ive put my life onto the path to the best job (which is no job) in the amount of time it takes to get a new degree.
