I can't believe how much I fucking enjoyed this series. Just beat the original trilogy maybe a couple weeks ago and today I just wrapped up the two dubbed seasons of the anime.

I did not expect to enjoy this series so much. I got it on a whim one night because I was feeling lazy and less enthused to play my usual action games.

They may end up with me considering them as some of my favorite games period. When I first thought about this, my initial though was "No way. You play them once and you're done and there's at least 50 other games I'd rather bring on a deserted island with me."

But weeks later, I can't stop thinking about how I want more of these characters and this universe. I know there's a few spinoff games, but the best thing about it all was the interaction of the characters I knew. That said, there's not much more to do with those characters. The stories all wrapped up pretty good and I feel like another adventure or even prequel might cheapen them. I know Phoenix is in UMvC3, but I've played the hell out of that game already and on another note, that game obviously doesn't have Miles, Gogot, Mia, Gumshoe, Maya, etc.

Anyways, tl;dr Ace Attorney is AMAZING!!!

All that praise aside, the games can be super frustrating.

Half the time I felt like I was solving for whatever the game wants rather than the case itself(which I've already figured out).

The evidence mechanic could've used some work in what is and isn't presentable to get your point across.

Yeah, I really enjoy playing them as just a visual novel with fun characters, and the wiki open for when I get slightly stuck.

I love the game and series. I havent had a chance to watch the anime, though. I was trying to start, then got sidetracked like I always do...

Ive played through the six main games multiple times. I had the first Miles Edgeworth game, but lost it...

Before playing, I always thought the premise for these games seemed boring. After playing, I was obsessed with them and their music and I couldn't get enough of them. Ace Attorney is amazing

I recommend Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice. DD is mostly new characters, but Maya comes back in SoJ. Just read a summary of Apollo Justice, because that game sucks.

And if you like puzzle games, check out Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright. It's a pretty good spin-off for both series.

While Apollo Justice isnt the best, I probably wouldnt skip it... Its got its own weird charm...

It's a great series. It's amazing how they kept the quality so consistent over such a long timespan.
