actually, I've only ever gotten 1 raise back when I worked at mcdonalds

my next job as an administrative assistant, I quit because they wouldn't give me a raise and I've pretty much just hopped from job to higher paying job since then without a raise

Start of the year, every year. Very nice raise, too.

Started a new job in September 2016.

Got a "raise" a week before my start date as they increased my negotiated hourly rate by 1%. Totally unprovoked, so I appreciated that. I also have a 2% raise due to begin on the 20th.

Whenever a job would refuse to give out raises, I'd leave. My current job is much better with raises and I've been receiving them every year I've been here. I'm in line for a promotion as well.

Never, but I only started last year. I had a pay cut compared to my previous job, but the amount of work and stress is like half so I think I am better off.

I'm on a yearly salary schedule, so from last year to this year I am getting a raise of $2,800. And that kicks in in 2 weeks.

I can't stand jobs like that. What the hell is a 70 cent raise going to do?

I remember years ago my brother (when he was working at gamestop) said he was called into the office and had a half hour yearly job performance review and negotiation just to get a 5 cent raise. A waste of time

Our fiscal year starts on October 1st, so that's when our raises start. Got 2.5% cost of living and a 2% merit-based raise last year. Probably just going to be another 2.5% cost of living this year, according to what I've heard.
