So weird teaching out in the country after growing up in the city.
Like I didn't think things like this actually existed.

I'm so pissed. So many places are getting huge storms this year and we have gotten like 4 inches total all winter. Fucking bullshit.

Finally unlocked "High Rank" hub quests.
I think I am around 40 hours in now, and feel like this will be first game in a long time I put 100+ hours into.
Lately all I use is sword and shield, but I have crafted some nice dual blades recently so I should probably at least try them out.

I usually beat a game, give it a rating in my game log, then move onto the next game.
I am not really when I will be done with Rise. Even when I stop playing it exclusively I will probably keep coming back until I beat everything available to me.
But if I had to give it a rating now, I would go 8.5/10.
This is the first MH game I have tried for more than an hour, and now I'm about 36 hours in.

So seemingly most of the superspeedway races these days. It was the same thing in the xfinity race yesterday. The real season starts next week.

Well depending on the track and size of the wreck they will finish the lap, that happens more often that calling the winner at the time of caution.

I am looking forward to it, but I can't stop playing Monster Hunter Rise so who knows when I will get to it. Still need to finish Plague Tale Requiem...

Alien Isolation is leaving Game Pass next week and I was thinking about trying to beat it before then, but I know I won't cause I only play Rise anytime I turn on my XBOX. Thankfully I have Isloation on PC and PS3 so I can technically play it whenever.

I have finally started utilizing multiplayer on quests. Up to 4 star quests in the Hub now. Just unlocked the first Apex Rampage. Thank God I can do the rampages with other people. Though I will still put them off as long as possible.

Yeah, you want to make sure it has a real zoom lens and not just a digital zoom like on a phone.

Basically good optical zoom is all I am looking for. Just watched a review for an old camera that my pawn shop has for $150 right now and the 50x zoom was crazy compared to what I have now. Almost tempted to get that, but I know spending a little more will get me something way better.

Want to buy one to take pictures of all the animals in my backyard, because my phone sucks and can't zoom for shit.

Thinking about Lumix ZS80 or FZ80 at the moment. Curious what my local pawn shop has for cheap.

Ys VIII is one of the best games ever made.

I was a big Red Eye fan too.
Back then he didn't take himself serious at all and they had people with different politics on and basically made fun of everybody.

Everytime I click it tries to add a new layer. I don't want that!

All I can say is that at my previous teaching job I was so unhappy that I legit wished that I got cancer so I could go on sick leave.
Then I got a job at a different school and I absolutely love it.
While some of the problems with teaching exist everywhere, a different school and different district can make a huge difference.

My advice, finish out the year, doing whatever you can to get through it, then try to find a new gig in a new school.

You beat him, there is a big cinematic, credits roll.....then right after the credits they come back to tell you hey there is still way more to do lol. Like what is the point of acting like its the end when it is clearly not?

Also I thought it was funny that 28 hours in, after I beat Magnamalo and credits rolled, I finally got my second achievement.

I keep ignoring whatever it has told me about layered armor because I figure I'll be confused by it.

Went out of my way to hunt for an item for a specific weapon upgrade.

Basically, I think I am a Monster Hunter guy now.
Tempted to buy World since I see it used for like $6.

Meh didn't end up staying. There was actually a lot of video game stuff today, a few PS1 and other consoles.
Didn't stay for a few reason.

1. Lots of people at the auction today, always drives up prices on stuff.
2. Based on where the stuff was in line I would have had to stand there for 3 hours before the game stuff was up.
3. Nothing super valuable, best box I found was worth probably $150 or so (besides one that had an XBOX One in it).
4. There were a few other people there clearly for the game stuff so I wouldn't have gotten that good of a deal.

What point in the game are you at? Still doing Village quests or have you moved on the Hub? You'll start getting access to more weapons once you hit High Rank in the Hub.

I am doing both.
I do all the 2 Star in the Village, then all the 2 Star in the Hub.
Do the Urgent Quest to unlock the next level of quests, repeat.
I am HR2 now, but will be HR3 as soon as I do a Rampage.

I wish I could craft better weapons. All mine max out at like 120 and barely any blue blade color.
I need to settle on a plan and grind some stuff out I guess.

I am a noob too and Rise is my first MH.

I am about 22 hours in now and I can't stop playing it. I feel like I still don't know a lot of the systems going on, but I finish most hunts first time so I guess I understand it enough.

After putting it off I did my first Rampage, and I can already tell, as soon as I fail one of these I'll be done with the game, because I didn't like it and don't want to do them.

I don't know if its a good thing or bad thing about this game, but I am 20 hours in and watched a few tips videos on youtube and still didn't understand some of the things they were talking about lol

We have to fund the military instead.

Was doing a two large monster quest, but didn't pay attention to which one I picked. Killed the wrong monsters then ran out of time right before killing the one I was supposed to.

Not counting elemental effects, are there types of weapons that work better for certain monsters or can you always just use whatever?

I need to get back and finish this straight through (coming up to the second boss), but I can't stop playing Monster Hunter Rise.

This is like attempted murder.

I now understand the Buddy system in general.

The main thing I have to concentrate on now is making sure I equip weapons that make sense for the monster I am fighting. I don't have many weapons with special stats though so it doesn't really matter.

Also I am 13 hours in on XBOX and have only got one achievement lol.

I used to live basically down the street from them. Never met them or knew them or anything, but in a small town every one is close by. I now live like 5 minutes away.

I saw the original tweet thread when this story broke, which I oviously found interesting cause of the proximity, but I really didn't expect it to go national like this.

I'm very curious how the community as a whole will react to this. The mayor somebody made a statement but the local paper is paywalled so I couldn't read it.
