One of my workers was really sick end of February/beginning of March. He was out for 9 days, bad cough, absolutely no energy. I was talking to him the last day he worked when the sickness was starting, and I never caught any of it from him.

I had to get mine cleaned out. Just something I neglected until my hearing was at about 50%. When they did it they pulled this chunk out that was as round as a penny. It was weird for the first few days after, my hearing was so reduced that it took a while to readjust. Running water from the faucet sounded too loud to me.

Yeah, business at the hotel has spiked back up. Probably 80% of that are vacationers or people just out on a summer trip. Then they pissy since we still have some statewide restrictions, and safety measures corporate wants us to follow. They don't want to follow any safety protocols, then shrug off the risk of getting sick onto us here. "If I get sick, I know it's because you didn't clean good enough!" Or, y'know, its because you needed a cross country trip to visit possibly infected friends and go fishing. We can only do so much, people need to start protecting themselves.

I work at a hotel too, and the pool is what really concerns me. Families from different areas, swimming and hanging out a few feet apart, no masks.

The issue with this is the statement about 3,000,000 people dying at once. People aren't dying all at once, it took 3 to 4 months to get to 100,000 dead. Even if you doubled the current death rate it would take around 4 years to reach 3,00,000. Hardly all at once.

It was a late 90s fad IIRC. People would have competitions to see who could stack and unstack plastic cups the fastest, highest, most, however they judged. Some of the sitcoms at the time got in on it too, having a character (usually the teen girl) be into cup stacking.

We have Nevada Day, which is technically October 31st. They used to move Halloween to keep Nevada Day where it is but not anymore. Now they just celebrate Nevada Day that weekend.
