One night it was so cold I couldn't get my headlights to come on so I said screw it and drove without them. Of course a cop would notice and followed me home. He asked why they weren't on and I showed him that they wouldn't come on. After sitting to there for 10 minutes he comes back and tells me to get them fixed and drives off.

Turns out all I had to do was turn on high beams. Once those came on my regular lights worked too.

Spent my entire childhood there. I lived in central Illinois, in Rantoul. Spent quite a bit of time in Champaign while I was there. We went to Chicago and Springfield occasionally as well.

I swear I get more accurate COVID info on here than what national news provides. I saw a recent CBS story about states reversing reopenings and closing some things back down. The story focused on Texas and Florida but then their map lumped Nevada in with those states. As far as I know we haven't closed any businesses back down. We are going with mandatory masks first. They included states that have slowed down on reopening any more, but that's not the same. We weren't really on the verge of going to Phase 3 yet anyway.

I didn't disturb them but one night I was going to the bathroom and saw what they were doing. We were living in an old motel turned into apartments so there weren't any walls separating bedrooms. Yeah it did look better as the night went on. It appeared that just about everyone had a mask with them at least, but some kept it down while drinking and smoking.

I've been at work for two hours now and it seems we are making people follow the new mask requirement, unless they really don't want to. There are still quite a few customers not wearing masks.

If I get to stay somewhere safe and just watch the rain and the lightning then they are nice. I've had to ride my bike to work in the middle of a few and that isn't fun at all. Especially since the middle part of my commute is riding through a flat empty lot.

Morning of the new Nevada mask mandate: I'm seeing much more signs of no mask no service and you must wear a mask to enter. So far, everyone I've seem has been wearing a mask. I really hope that holds in the long term.

I saw that at least in northern Nevada it's all on businesses to enforce the mandate. Law enforcement in several areas has already said they aren't going to waste time citing non mask wearers.

As expected. Sucks though that I have to wear them on my 5 am 7-11 runs when I'm the only customer, but safety first.

And people where I work are already losing their shit over it. Some are thinking of loopholes to get around it. Like someone else said it's easier to just wear a mask than to come up with valid reasons not to.

If my casino ever has a COVID outbreak it is not going to start on the casino floor, it's going to come from our hotel pool. All these families swimming together, close quarters, no masks, many are in from California. That is the real danger area.

Caesars is requiring people to wear masks inside its casino, most likely due to union pressure. I wouldn't be surprised if other casinos in Las Vegas follow suit.

Our casino requires everyone at table games to wear masks. I don't see us expanding that unless we are forced to. Then again Sisolak is speaking on the matter in a few hours so it may be decided for us.

Just yesterday when I had to check it there were probably 30 or so people from different families, groups, mixing together in our 25'x25' pool. Getting within inches of each other, no masks because of course nobody is going to be wearing a mask while swimming. Most of these groups are out-of-staters bringing who knows what with them. I hope not but this sounds like a recipe for disaster.
