That's good to know if I accidentally leave mine at home or I'm washing it. I'm more likely though to visit the neighborhood ones than go to the Strip or Downtown.

I live up near Lake Tahoe though, I don't know if you've ever spent time in northern Nevada. Hopefully some of the Vegas casinos are looking out for their customers, we really need to show the entertainment industry can be safe.

Exactly how would a casino require customers to wear masks when most of them are there to smoke and drink? As a casino worker we have been open since last week. We aren't making guests wear masks but we are offering masks and gloves if they want. We as employees though do have to wear them.

I work at a smaller casino up in northern Nevada, we opened back up last night at midnight. I've been on my weekend and don't go back until Friday. The cleaning crew I manage have no idea what they are getting into with how our job is now. They think that it'll be just as simple as before, but with a mask on. Our regulars aren't the mask wearing type, they are the smoke two packs while hooked to an oxygen tank sort. Keeping the place sanitary is going to be some work.

I'm not asking to have a heart to heart discussion with the delivery driver, I just want an acknowledgement they were at the door. Wrapping your knuckles (which are probably gloved) against a door isn't going to land you in the COVID ward. Hell ring the doorbell with your elbow, pound the door with your clipboard, something could be done.

I had to get up early today because my landlady told me some packages were coming (they bring them to our apartment when the office is closed). I did look outside the door when I first got up and there was nothing. So over an hour later my wife gets up and asks if I checked outside. I naturally said yes so she opens the door and 4 boxes are there. I am sitting 4 feet from the front door, window open, with no noise in the room and heard nothing that sounded like someone at the door.

Is it too much hassle to hit the doorbell or give a quick knock before walking away, letting someone know you were there?

In most of Nevada yes, in the county I live in, not entirely. You can't get busted for having small amounts, but it's not legal to sell or distribute it in the county, so no shops or dispenseries here.

I haven't driven in 10 plus years. Back then the last time I got pulled over was because it was so cold driving home from work that my headlights didn't come on, and I had the luck of having a cop notice. I got home and turned my brights on and back off then my normal beams worked. I didn't get a ticket though.

I have had a cop stop me on my bike coming home at night and ask me where I was going. One may have saved my life once. I was riding home on a cold winter night with about 6 inches of snow on the ground. As I got to the crossing I started feeling weird and my eyes started to blink out. Luckily a cop saw me and checked on me, which got me straightened up to make it the rest of the way.

I've lived in California, Illinois, Alabama, and currently Nevada. I left CA when I was a year old so I can't say much about it. Spent my entire childhood in Il, loved it, a few bad spots but overall a nice place. I did my time in the Army down in Alabama, even without that the state is a hellhole. NV is ehh, quite as bit here I could do without but it's not as bad as Bama.
