Not everywhere. Having actual driving infrastructure comes fairly late in a country's development, given how expensive cars are (especially in countries without ready access to manufacturing facilities) and the level of industrialization needed to supply them with gas.

So you are saying people just dont care about traffic laws there? Blame the police.

Some of it's police, but most of it is that driving has proliferated faster than traffic laws (and their enforcement) can hope to keep up with. Countries where driving's relatively new haven't had the century-long gradual implementation of cars into society that Europe and the colonies have had. They've had a large, rapid of cars and a frantic scramble to get the necessary infrastructure in place for them.

They don't really have that right, though. If they tried, they would face severe consequences from most of the world. Comcast, on the other hand, only has to fear people switching to a different ISP, which isn't that scary when there are like two other options at best and they're probably also throttling those sites.

I've seen different styles of driving, but for the most part the basic archetypes of road laws have been in place wherever I've gone. I've got a friend who's lived in Abu Dhabi for quite a while, though, who said that right of way there is dictated by license plate number, with the Sheik having #1. Apparently traffic kind of an unintelligible jumble unless somebody with a 3-digit (or less) shows up, at which point everyone gets the **** out of their way because any sort of collision absolutely would not end in the peon's favour.

Besides, trombones are like the easiest thing ever to clean. If you want a brass player that's really good at cleaning pipes, get yourself a horn player.

Most of the singing was pretty weak. They gave Gaston to a ****ing tenor.

Really, though, I wouldn't say that her singing was bad, she just sounded so much like herself that it was a bit off-putting. Part of that is a matter of getting better at singing, since a trained singing voice shouldn't sound like the person's speaking voice, but a good chunk of it was also just how thoroughly typecast she is from a decade of being Hermione.

In a rechargeable controller, battery life past the length of a single session doesn't actually matter, since you can just recharge it as soon as you're done. Charging speed does, and if the battery life is shorter than a single session (see: the WiiU gamepad), then it can become an issue, but otherwise it won't make a difference. It does matter for non-rechargeable ones, though, since that dictates how often you're going to be buying new batteries.

Wii U gamepad's life isn't great but are you playing for like 6 hours in a row? Mine has never dropped in one session...

On occasion. Of course, when it did run out, it was a pretty simple matter of unplugging the charge cable from the cradle and plugging it into the controller, so it was hardly catastrophic, but it was still an issue that did come up from time to time.

I see more MADD commercials than I do anti-smoking ones. By a huge margin. Most anti-smoking ads I see are just the ones on cigarette packs, which are mandated by law. Maybe it's a regional thing.

That law point also plays a big role, though. Cigarette companies are required by law to make anti-smoking commercials (which is why a lot of them just end up making people want to smoke more, since these companies aren't stupid and they know how to prey on anti-authority sentiments among teenagers). Alcohol companies are not (though they do have their own restrictions about how they can advertise their products), meaning anti-alcohol commercials are left to third parties like MADD that must fund their own advertising.

Advocating for people getting abortions is typically eugenics at best, and genocidal misanthropy at worst.

Those things might be proprietary.

Presuming the Joy-Con's IR camera works like the Wiimote's, I'd guess they're IR LED arrays of some sort. If they aren't too complicated, they could potentially be made at home, though that would involve a lot more specialized materials and know-how than cutting out some cardboard, especially if the arrays do anything to detect how the strings are moving.

Except for the part where this is completely optional. You're not going to alienate developers with options. The Gamepad was intrinsic to the WiiU, so developers were reluctant to neglect it. This, though? Not developing for Labo is about like not developing for Kinect or Move.

I mean, that's not wrong. Unless they were sold at a massive loss, there's no way they could offer that kind of variety of plastic peripherals at a low enough price to get the kind of buy-in needed to justify development. This way, they get to offer more variety and have a chance that people will actually buy them, especially with the added attraction of getting to build them yourself (which can be pretty fun).

Sure it is. Those goals are in fact completely arbitrary. There are nipple% speedruns of Mario Odyssey, where players race to get to see Mario's nipples as quickly as possible.

Yes, it's true that 99.9% of all accidents are caused by human error (either not paying attention, underestimating distance needed to brake in relation to momentum and weight, underestimating weather effects on traction even in an AWD car, etc etc etc.) but there are certain situations where computer failure would lead to extremely deadly accidents

My attitude toward that is similar to my attitude toward seatbelts. There have been accidents where being buckled up caused a fatality, or where not being buckled up let somebody slide over to the other side of a bench seat and avoid taking the full impact and dying. You'll often see people citing these as a reason to protest seatbelts being mandatory. That fact of the matter, though, is that wearing a seatbelt is far, far safer than not wearing one in the vast majority of collision or other emergency scenarios, so wearing one at all times is unambiguously the better choice. Similarly, while no self-driving system is ever going to be perfect, and there will inevitably be deadly accidents, in the grand scheme of things it has the potential to be much safer than manual driving. Perspective's important: One self-driving car driving off a bridge each year is far, far better than the 37,000 fatalities that happened in 2016. You'll still be more likely to be killed by somebody else hitting you than by the computer in your car screwing up.

Fresh pasta cooks much, much faster than dried, though it doesn't keep as long. Pasta with a higher surface area:mass ratio will also cook faster. Spaghetti takes longer than spaghettini, which in turn takes longer than angel hair. And then there's vermicelli, which basically finishes cooking before you have time to finish stirring it in.

Oh please. 'waifu's' have been in the series ever since the start (just look at Lyn in the west) and there is no way that the marriage mechanic (which came before Awakening mind you) managed to save it THIS much. Not to mention plenty of other games offer 'waifu's' yet are nowhere near as roaring.

Waifus were there but you could hard marry and conceive a child with one in game.

FE4 did allow such a thing, and pretty much every game with a support mechanic had at least a few support endings that indicate the pair got married (including Eirika and Ephraim, in the Japanese version of FE8 >.>). FE4 didn't have any sort of grinding mechanic, though, so it was notably less intuitive to get the kids you wanted. FE4 also never officially made it out of Japan, so most series fans haven't played it.

Smash was responsible for piquing the West's interest in the series at all, and subsequently for FE7 being localized, but it was FE13 that revived the series when it was losing popularity (to the point where, if Awakening hadn't done well, the series would probably have been canned). That was for a number of reasons, including the addition of Casual/Phoenix modes to make the series more accessible, bringing back the marriage mechanic as more than just an S-rank support with a little blurb at the end, and allowing more flexible customization with the reclassing system and ability to grind. It was also the first one released in the west in the four years since FE11, which was itself not tremendously well received (apparently remaking a NES game with minimal changes in 2008 doesn't go over that well. Who knew?), and was a very solid game all around.
