It's a system that is full of itself, really. It's relatively young country that refuses to adapt for long-term stability. It doesn't represent everyday people. I know I disagree politically with other Americans but I don't care about that at the end of the day. Our overarching institutions are fragmented messes, and they've been in this state for decades. I want systems that function. It's why I'm working and studying what I do.

Well, you see...
In 1939, they created a law about a limit of the national debt.
This limit has been changed 78 times since 1960.
Last time was in December last year, which ran out yesterday so they had to win the vote in Congress.
The problem is that they only got a 51% majority in Congress, and you need to win with at least 60% for this kind of stuff.
So... in three years Trump will just use this as an example of how everybody were working against him and that he needs four more years to make America great again, and people will vote on him.

Completely irrelevant. If I was smuggled in to another country against my will I would be sent back home by the authorities. If I was willingly smuggled in, I'd expect criminal charges and deportation.

Compassion isn't worth shit to the law for anybody else, so why should they get a free pass because their parents both commited serious crimes and forced their children to join in?

Most of the people who jump to the "I don't care if they're being treated unfairly, it's still a crime!" defense probably have terabytes of pirated movies on their hard drive. But of course it's no shocker that racists and xenophobes have double standards for the people they don't like.

If you have a problem with criminals, I understand, but maybe actually think about what the laws are. Basic morals and ethics tell us that things like rape and murder are wrong, but if you're going to demonize illegal immigrants, especially the Dreamers, strictly because of some written code, that's a lazy argument. It's especially lazy when we have lawmakers trying to provide them legal protections... if they are decriminalized, then it's not a serious crime anymore and you're going to have to find a better reason to argue against it. It's like saying "Marijuana should be illegal because it's illegal."
