I wouldn't spend too much time on apps that accept multiple choice answers. They're overly easy and give you a false sense of achievement. If you want an app to reinforce grammar you've learned, Human Japanese or the Tae Kim app. Both are good. You can also do bunpro which is an SRS grammar website that works well on mobile.

Good luck and stick with it if you do want to learn kanji and how to read. I know it feels slow, but it ramps up quickly around level three.

It really helps later with grammar. Right now grammar is easy, but it does get more and more complicated after you're beyond what Genki and the like teach you. Its nice to not have kanji holding you back when you get to that point so you can strictly focus on the grammar.

All in all I think I used it for 2-3 hours per day for a year and some change. The first three levels are free. Then you pay $8 monthly. Well well worth it. It essentially guarantees that Kanji will not hold you back from the rest of your japanese learning.

Also, I edited my prior post, but it does not teach you stroke order. You will learn how to recognize them and all of their associated readings. Not how to write them.

My Kanji is actually really limited too. I know maybe around 50 by heart and rest I remember only by seeing them, if that.

So, I've been learning for years at this point, but I managed to learn 2000 kanji in a year and a half. If you're interested, start wanikani. It starts slow, but very quickly snow balls. You will learn 2000 kanji (both the meaning and the reading) and 6000 words using them in about a year and a half.

Way better than remembering the kanji and if its something you can remember to do on your phone every few hours while you are awake (it takes committment) you will learn kanji. I can comfortably read just about anything now (except college level academic papers) and I attribute a lot of that to doing wanikani in the beginning.

Edit: This doesn't teach you how to write kanji which it does look like you're doing, but to be honest, that's something you can do later. Being able to recognize, and read 2000 kanji is way way better than being able to hand write a fraction of that.

That's JRPG's in a nutshell dude. Probably the only reason I enjoyed Witcher 3, it's one of the few games that puts effort in its side quests.

The trails series is an exception to this. Side quests in that game are exquisite. A simple, "go here find this and bring it back" quest in the trails series is always full of tons of party banter and NPC dialogue.

Yawgmoth's Will is reserved list. Never will be reprinted unless Wizards changes their stance. Only printed in Urza's Saga.

Yawgmoth's Will was outrageous. I bought them at $60 each and I sold them for $340 each. I bought a foil one for $200 for my foiled out Liliana deck last year and its current lowest price on tcgplayer is $1000.

Copy Artifact, Wheel of Fortune, Survival of the Fittest, Tolarian Academies, Treachery, Yawgmoth's Will, and a bunch of others. They've all skyrocketed hundreds of percents since I bought them. Just sold extras that were sitting in binders not in commander decks but I'm tempted to sell it all. I can literally buylist one of my decks to cardkingdom for $10,000 which is...extremely tempting.

Collectibles in general have sky rocketed. I just sold 10 magic cards that I bought in 2019 at around $300 or so for $2500 last week.

Weren't all of those combined like $30 on PS4 over the holidays? Whose going to pay that to play barely better ports on PC?

Only if you do it every day. If you do it a few times, even for hours at a time, the most youll get is image retention that goes away after you turn the tv off.

burn-in isnt that big a deal. I mean, if its permanent it is. But I played through Persona 5 on an OLED tv, basically binging it. If youve played Persona 5 youll realise this is basically the most burn-in possible since its a long game with vivid and distinct colours. At the end I had a slight amount of burn in, and after a week it was gone completely

this was on a nice LG tv though with some anti-burn in features. I dunno how it would be for a cheap oled from an off brand

I have two oleds. An LG CX and an A8G. Played Persona 5 on my A8G and didn't even get image retention. CX is used as a computer monitor and I haven't had trouble there either.

If someone's overly scared about burn in though and they buy their TV through best buy their warranty does cover burn in.

Thank you! The localized version has always called the ranch in the game "Lon Lon" and you get the item "Lon Lon Milk" from there. I've never been sure why they went with Lon Lon instead of Ron Ron other than one of them sounds like a man's name in English lol

Probably because Ron spoken by a Japanese person sounds more similiar to an English speaker saying Lon. The tongue touches the alvelor ridge to pronounce Ron in japanese.

The word after Lon Lon is pronounced gyuunyuu. It means cowmilk. I've never played Zelda so I don't know what its supposed to be but the Katakana is ron ron.
