Gaming on my PS5, Switch, and eventually the Xbox One Series X. Also watching tv/movies in my living room. The price tag is perfect for me at the moment I just don't want to buy a bad product for that much.

Ah well then I'm sure you'll love it. Personally I'd never drop more than 200 on a tv but I don't really share recreation space with anyone

I've had a 65 inch Sony x800g for a little more than a year now and it's been amazing. It looks like the x900h is an upgraded version of that. So I'd say go for it.

Wait for MicroLED

basically this is the totem pole of display tech:

MicroLED
OLED
QLED
LED

oled gives the best colours. Micro led is very similar to oled but doesnt burn in

To start with, probably like 10x the price of OLED. They arent even out yet but they are gonna be sweet
after a few years after they release they will come down a lot though

Lol yeah I'm good in that. Would be cool but I'd probably get an OLED when MicroLEDs are the price of the current OLEDs. Still probably not tho cuz burn in is scary.

burn-in isnt that big a deal. I mean, if its permanent it is. But I played through Persona 5 on an OLED tv, basically binging it. If youve played Persona 5 youll realise this is basically the most burn-in possible since its a long game with vivid and distinct colours. At the end I had a slight amount of burn in, and after a week it was gone completely

this was on a nice LG tv though with some anti-burn in features. I dunno how it would be for a cheap oled from an off brand

I have two oleds. An LG CX and an A8G. Played Persona 5 on my A8G and didn't even get image retention. CX is used as a computer monitor and I haven't had trouble there either.

If someone's overly scared about burn in though and they buy their TV through best buy their warranty does cover burn in.

Damn. Yeah I played P5. I'm a fucking moron though and keep my games on pause for a long time while I cook or do other shit. Couldn't that cause major burn in?

Only if you do it every day. If you do it a few times, even for hours at a time, the most youll get is image retention that goes away after you turn the tv off.

I do it all the time. It's a terrible habit. Are there decent OLEDs at $1400 though?

Forreal. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. And I'm just using it straight out of the box. I havent looked into messing with any of the settings other than getting it to work with my surround sound and getting 4k/120hz which was a little fucky.
