I only really like Alakazam and Gallade here. The rest of the top row is okay, with Magmortar in particular being a huge improvement over its awful predecessors. And the rest of the bottom row is just tragedy after tragedy.

I'm guessing something like
EverQuest - 4000 hours
Blade & Soul - 2500 hours
Melee - 2500 hours

And yet for genre it might be single player RPG. Might depend on how you count Diablo II.

I won a couple Smash tournaments at my college, they were like 20 bucks each maybe? The top 2-3 Melee players there were much better than me, so I kinda lucked out that one was just for my dorm, and the other wasn't even Melee, it was Brawl just after launch (which I never even played much or got very good at).

I see i'm the only one that likes Binacle. Even then it's only my third favorite here, Krabby and Clauncher too good.

Guns have a completely different damage formula and they're heavily dependent on attack. You kinda just have to test them out to see how they'll do. Actually I just remembered there being some enemies that specifically have gun resistance? Not sure about that at all.

Guns ignore the character's strength, level and enemy defense. The attack stat still matters for guns, as well as things like berserk, focus and elemental affinities.

I've been thinking Titans, Packers, Rams, Bills. Bungles are bound to show up at some point.

I like Mimikyu but I honestly didn't expect it to be so resoundingly dominant here lol.

Ah yeah I guess you missed Steiner's ranking project where he averaged lists from the entire board together. Mimikyu ended up almost at the top of gen 7 while none of the others did all that well and some were close to the bottom of their gens.

I would have considered leaving Mimikyu off just because it would be a more interesting poll without it. Mimikyu is easily my favorite pokemon overall since gen 2 but I also really like the gen 3-5 pikaclones.

People literally called it pikablue. It is a pikaclone.

Emerald also didn't say what Bartz, foxhead or Suprak's tiebreakers were. Some of them could have had 4 or more.

But yeah I picked 3 because I expected a couple rushing TDs from the Bills and one from the Pats. Was thinking 3-0 or 2-1 on passing TDs both sounded plausible. So something like 35-7 or 28-14 final score plus 1-3 field goals.

Kinda funny that I may have made it if I had went straight chalk even with that TB. My TB2 wasn't great but wasn't terrible at 8.

So I'm definitely eliminated. I would pick the Rams over any team besides the Bills and I'd pick any playoff team plus several others over the 49ers. Which left the Raiders as my only upset choice from the outset. I didn't want to pick all favorites so I picked them. Then I missed on the Cowboys, and my TB1 is 3, so I switched to the Steelers as a desperation pick.

But only 4 games have been played?

oh i wasn't even paying attention, didn't realize TB question was only to determine top 4. since i had such a good tb pick i was actually thinking of switching to Chargers because then i could possibly make it regardless of outcome, but i didn't feel like adding up everyone's score to see if that was actually the case. if i'm reading this right, not only would i still have been in, but it would have saved the 3 that got eliminated?

btw, do you know if i needed the Raiders to win to make it? i assume Chargers win would not have been good, but i'm guessing i still would have made it with the tie.

it almost feels like the Bills are trying to get the 4 seed if possible. like once the Pats lose they'd be safe to blow it to the Jets, but if somehow the Pats come back they'll try to keep the lead.

also, Steelers/Ravens tie works even if Dolphins lose (would still need the Raiders to win).

you say you went as absurd as possible but you didn't pick the Lions. tbh it's not even absurd but it has a lot of value when you're way behind because hardly anyone picked it. i didn't pick it because, like you in the other league, i can apparently make it just making normal picks. of course i probably have to get nearly everything right.
