I watched the movie earlier this year and found myself surprised by how BAD some of the songs are. Blame Canada is nothing special, Uncle Fucker is 30 seconds of meh melody and 30 seconds of somebody making fart sounds with their hands.

I kind of like the melody of the brian boitano song, but it's also premised entirely on the randomness of a celebrity from 30 years ago who I don't know anything about and expecting me to think that's funny. South Park used to do that a lot and it was never funny IMO.

The whole point of the songs is basically to be showy for fun while also being outrageous, except the show isn't outrageous by today's standards so it doesn't really hold up for this year.

Generally, Disney songs (in their mainline big budget animated movies) are much more emotional and cathartic and have a lot more production value so yeah it's not surprising that they have better lyrics and melodies. But they're also going for something totally different.

Book of Mormon has some great songs, but no, the south park movie's soundtrack is just "mmmkay" for its purpose and not much more

I was working at HEB telling people to wear face masks but I had no power to enforce it. Now people actually have to wear them to come in, otherwise the store can be fined. (I'm not doing that any more though)

When I was a teenager I went to numerous Boy Scout camps. The scout leaders were ragingly homophobic and passed it down to all of the kids. It was awful and I am gay. But I was too afraid to speak up about it even though it made me angry.. I remember one scout leader who was teaching a course on wildlife who started mocking a kid in front of the class for having a rainbow umbrella.

BSA needs this. I think this was back when being openly gay meant you couldn't be an eagle scout (which I think they stopped enforcing a couple of years ago??) It might not fix their stupid toxic masculinity or racism, but they need it anyway because it will help at least a few kids.

People should be okay with this. Sword and Shield have a handful of Pokemon that are over 30 feet long and one that is 65 feet long. It's great that they can accompany us outside now, but it would NOT work for them to actually be that large. They would not fit in the camera frame, they would block your view of the landscape when you are moving around, and they would clip awfully against walls, buildings, trees, people, etc.

You just have to accept that the ones that follow you aren't going to be 40 feet long. I guess you could argue they should keep the wild ones consistent with that, but I like seeing them big in the wild.

Also, if you don't have any draconian modes active, the fighting is beyond easy and would probably be a part of why you aren't enjoying the combat. Unfortunately they don't let you set it to hard in the middle of a playthrough :/

I'll admit, the reason I put so many hours into it because I thought it would be like Tales of Symphonia where the game doesn't get good until [], in which the game's story really does pick up and stops being cliched. But yeah you're right, I think I did a good enough job trying to get through the game. Next time I'll do more research before buying a game instead of giving into hype.

I mean you are a bit right, I haven't played Tales of Symphonia but DQ XI's story does change significantly at a certain momentous point (with higher stakes and a big change) and you haven't gotten there yet.

But if you aren't enjoying the game now, I don't think you'll enjoy it after that story point either.
