I think it's kinda ridiculous to blame Nintendo for GF's lack of quality.

I just wonder because KF has been streaming it and the general interest seems to be going up. At least according to Google trends. Curious if it's just coincidence.

I wish I could be hype about FE Warriors but the first one was such a massive disappointment.

In hindsight it feels like the Snyder cut got good reviews due to being practically the perfect film for the time it came out. Which makes it having a sub-80% Tomatometer result look kind of damning.

Saw Hawkeye episode 3. Really digging the cast of this show so far. And I don't mean to be that guy, but it's nice seeing a heroine who's portrayed as capable but still not able to handle quite everything herself.

It was kind of silly though how they tried to hold onto the MCU being "realistic" though. Remember how throughout Thor they tried really hard to instill the idea that the Asgardians weren't "magic", they were simply using technology so advanced that it just looked like magic? Only later when they became more comfortable with the universe were they like "Oh, yeah, magic totally exists lmao"

Never cared for 4th of July fireworks, but on New Years Im ok with it. I grew up in Hawaii where fireworks are illegal yet the entire island pops off when the clock strikes midnight. It is annoying when people pop them on days other than the ones mentioned but kids will be kids.

I have a dog and shes awesome. She does bark when shes at someone elses place and hears them, but when shes at home shes calm. Ive heard stories of dogs getting out cause of fireworks, but I also dont agree with people leaving their dogs outside, period. What a shitty dog life.

It's kinda low, but not horribly so. The matches are so short, that I could see most people only playing a few games a day compared to some of these other games you might spend hours a day playing.

NSMBU is very good and fun.

it's certainly not ALL nonsense. one thing that makes 1 feel so separate from 2 and 3 is that the original is a very straightforward movie and the sequels are way more symbolic and insinuating. i won't bring up truffaut's law again, but 2 and 3 are movies that definitely get better if you watch them several times. and even then, a lot of the stuff in it only makes sense if you know a decent amount about philosophy and religion. i know i'm coming off as a pretentious "you just didn't get it" asshole - and maybe i am one - but it's pretty frustrating to see 2 and 3 get dismissed as 100% bullshit by people who probably can't even tell the difference between jean baudrillard and ayn rand. (edit: to be perfectly clear, this isn't in response to your post. i'm talking about people in general who dismissed the movies as 100% bullshit.)

...all that being said, some of the stuff in the movies definitely IS nonsensical technobabble, though, at least to me. i've wasted way too much time reading rambling matrix articles and watching matrix youtube videos and some dialogue still makes me go "nope, this doesn't make sense."

I dislike this sentiment. It's just conjecture. People assume he was God, but like you pointed out, all he did was fly inside of Smith and destroy/reprogram/whatever the hell he did.

Reloaded is better than Revolution, not contest.

Like, MJ is straight up a terrible person. I don't know if there is some deep meta story about how her home life as a teen warped her as an adult, but she is extremely manipulative and callous to those around her, and Pete spends three movies enabling her actions.

Peter is a kind of a terrible person too lol. He did some really shitty things across the trilogy but especially 3.

Amazing movie, can't wait to see it again. Can't believe what they pulled off.

I watched the Raimi Spiderman's for the first time this weekend (had only seen 1 previously, when it first came out so I had forgotten everything anyway) and my big take away from them is that holy shit every character is super toxic and generally not good people, Peter and MJ's "relationship" being exhibit a here. The only truly good person might be the landlord's daughter.

Goblin and Ock were p good though.
