Like it's not enough to let frieza kill Krillin he has to do it with the finger beam specifically. The game will also add characters to the fight depending on how it goes so like when fighting frieza you'll have base goku but if you actually play out the fight and let frieza kill Krillin the game takes out base goku and puts in SSJ Goku.
