I liked it although the entire ending sequence was kinda stupid. Not something that hasn't been done multiple times throughout the MCU though.

If that's your plan then I suggest doing it since it's going to be at least 5 years before you're going to get a lender willing to give you a mortgage even at an absurd interest. Most lenders are going to reject you outright.

Tbf I think he had the right idea with splitting the array and then probably just couldn't think through the exact logic of how to do it on the spot with interview pressure and so iterated through because he couldn't think of what else to do.

I just threw together an 'efficient' solution for magic index by repeatedly splitting the array until it either finds the magic index or has confirmed there is no magic index in Python and reckon I'm doing it in 2^x >= N where x is the number of iterations, e.g. an array of length 100000 requires 17 iterations. I'd be interested to see if there's a better option than that.

The efficient solution is to do a binary search.

Check A[len / 2] - len / 2 and recursively refine from there. If positive you need to go backwards. If negative you need to go forwards. If 0 you found the magic index.

Theres a trick and some editing. Frames are missing and you dont even have to slow it down to see that.

That small cement block doesnt look heavy enough to support the impact of the punch to the top half of the board that thick without realistically falling off too.

Nah. 100% of the force applied is on the part that broke off which isn't in contact with the smaller block. The block itself also looks really heavy and it doesn't have to be so heavy to resist momentum based on mass alone. Just a large enough static friction will do it.

The trick is that the blocks are set up in such a way to dig in and crack the stone rod so that it breaks off when hit. It's not a coincidence that the part remaining is almost exactly the same height as the blocks behind it.

If you're not one of those people who have that mystic belief of martial arts, I wasn't addressing you.

I don't think anyone is saying he has mystical powers. We're just trying to determine whether the video includes a cut or not and I don't think it does.

The biggest clue as to how he did it comes in the stomp. It's supported on both ends when he jumps on it but when he punches it, the support is only on one side.

Essentially the most likely scenario here is that the corner of the stone block behind it drove into the brick creating a crack as he punched it and at that point it's just breaking off a brittle piece. It would still require a considerable level of strength.

It's kind of like breaking open a walnut. I can slam it in my hands and nothing happens. Slam it into a stone surface instead with the same force and it cracks right open.
