It was taking so long for the manga to finish the Monster Association arc that there needed to be something major to keep people interested. Adapting the webcomic straight-up wouldn't have been exciting enough. They already introduced a whole ass multiverse, so there are plenty of directions for the story to take.

Not that any of them will be interesting, though. OPM is a novelty series that should have ended early on. It doesn't work as a long-running series because a deliberately OP protagonist is only interesting for so long.

He'll get less OP the more time goes on. Everyone else is getting stronger except Saitama.

Only thing I do daily is vitamins for my deficiency.

You're trying to attribute comedy where there is none. We have it straight from the creator what Saitama's deal is and it's not "a joke" and the series is not a joke either. There's no need to make up things about the series when we are told explicitly what it is.

You should watch Slayers when you're done. They're both based on real D&D games. The running joke is Record of Lodoss War is what people want their D&D game to be and Slayers is what actually happens when people play D&D.

Capra demon is one of the easiest bosses in the game they have to stick you in a tiny ass room with another enemy more dangerous than him to make that encounter challenging. Once you kill the dog thing you can literally just run circles up the stair for the rest of the fight and he can't hit you.

Not in roleplaying mechanics.

JRPG is like the biggest misnomer of all time, as I wouldnt consider most of them RPGs at all. You dont get to make any meaningful choices, and theres usually only one way to do most quests etc. Obviously there are exceptions to this like Triangle Strategy, but I dont know of a JRPzg that really emphasize roleplaying. Theyre more like Interactive Adventure Stories with progression mechanics.

granted, as an adult with choice paralysis I find the lack of choice in them refreshing, but theyre not RPGs.
