A very fun experience. Tifa is probably the funnest character to control in FF history. The developers understood the important things that made the early part of the game special, and added valuable new stuff as well. That's what a remake should do.

Go in with no expectations about the story. It's embracing the subtitle of Remake heavily and they're literally re-making some of it.

Not for bad, just... Keep an open mind.

Yet they prioritized filler pandering over more of the main game so they still botched it. They turned one of the most iconic JRPGs of the late 90s into likely a decade marketing vehicle at the fan's expense. That's a fail.
