That's not even "my" opinion. My opinion is a lot closer to the rest of this board's opinion than it is to the one I said I thought was the popular opinion, which is unsurprising because I wouldn't have stayed in this community this long if it wasn't full of like-minded individuals.

There was a lot wrong with Sonic Chronicles. The story was good. The gameplay was not, though I don't think it was as bad as the rest of you seem to think it was, and besides it has New Game+ so you only have to suffer through that once and then you can basically steamroll the game up until the end on replay because you'll be overleveled. We should all be thankful that it came out when it did and not in the current era because the Chao system just screams "gacha". Mostly, I enjoyed it becauseI like Sonic and I like RPGs.

Wait what? I was surprised enough to see Chronicles bashed in the write-up, much less other people agreeing with this. Was this always the consensus? Because I only remember the consensus being "why can't Sonic Team make dialogue this good; this is the best Sonic game since the characters were still mute", and that the fact that the sequel that the ending clearly hints at would never come was a travesty.

Didn't realize this board was a bunch of fucking zoomers who can't handle a challenge. Yes, the difficulty spiked massively halfway through the game. But unplayable? Well, yes, I'd agree that ____ Chronicles is an RPG which seemed to have a promising story but was derailed by a combat system that made it completely unplayable...except the first word is "Xenoblade", not "Sonic".

I won't defend the music though. Sonic 3 & Knuckles has one of the best soundtracks ever and they desecrated one of its best tracks.

I guess I don't know enough about their worldwide presence, but being from the country both of them originate from, I'm going to go with the one that stars in holiday specials that are shown on network television annually...and not just for a single holiday, either.

Dance with the Shadow is amazing. Beat Eat Nest is good, but doesn't really stand out; I've heard these types of songs in video games before, and done better.

Tree of Life: Roots is a bit dull for a while, but eventually stops being dull, though it's still not good. Beyond the Bounds starts out dull, too, but stops being dull much sooner. This is a bad thing and Tree of Life didn't have to stop being dull to get my vote.

Oh hey, remember when I said that I'd heard songs like Beat Eat Nest plenty of times before, but better? Here's one now! Mixed Melody (Stage 4) is another one of those generic RPG songs even though I'm pretty sure DoDonPachi is a bullet hell game. And not only is it better than Beat Eat Nest, its opponent is weaker! Though this was a very close one for me. ...Or maybe not; listening back to determine my ranking of all six, I stand by my decision that Mixed Melody is better than Beat Eat Nest, but I think I'd take BEN over Secret Cave, too!

I figured when I saw that Liberatedliberator was still in the contest after all these years, it must be one of the really awful Umineko songs to have not retired yet. It isn't. There are no bad songs today. Tachi is the worst thing here, and it's still good. It's just a shame today is technically a 1-3-5.

Oh wow, it's not actually Umineko, and yet it's still basically Umineko! My opinion of Umineko music can vary wildly, and I don't mean by track, I mean a lot of tracks I'll sometimes love and sometimes hate. Today...it doesn't matter because even though I do like Conviction Corridor right now, Dark Pit's still better.

Ouch, go away. I needed only listen to NightL to write down that I'm voting for Heart of Concrete. Which is...not great, but still acceptable.

I don't even know what I'm listening to. Actually, I kind of like it. Aquatic Ambiance is, of course, a classic, but I kind of like Chani's Eyes better. Very nostalgic.

First match was a tough one. Remember Me was up first and it was really good; I didn't think Indignant Divinity would have what it took to get my vote, seeing the short run time and simplistic art. I was wrong. Banger.

I remember Kill Command being in previous VGMCs and I don't think I was a fan, but I'll of course need my memory jogged. Time isn't very good, though, so it might get my vote even if my memory was correct. Which it was and it did.

Break the Limit! is also one I remember being in previous VGMCs, and I remember thinking it was okay, but if Battle - b2 hasn't been in any previous VGMCs, it wouldn't be for lack of trying on my part. Unless I was trying to nominate the other boss theme instead. I can never remember, or decide when listening to them back to back, which one of SMTIV's boss themes I like more.

I feel like it's just the opposite? I guess in that context it would be short for "suspected" rather than "suspicious", though that's a very narrow distinction because they come from the same root word, but to me it sounds like it used to be a homophobic term, and now it's just a reference to a video game. Anything that limits the spread of political overcorrection is fine by me (to be clear, I'm all for legitimate political correctness, but if you legislate out anything that might be offensive, you'll be left with nothing at all. For example, the word "boy" is a perfectly valid way to refer to a male child, but also a racist epithet. I stole that example from the comments section of a YouTube video about the recent decision to put an in-game profanity filter that can't be disabled into Minecraft, and one of those old-fashioned ones that will stop you from writing the word "night" because the first three letters are a banned string.)

Yeah Scarle seems like she's going to be a fun one. I looked at her opening week schedule and was like "I want to watch all of these streams oh wait they start at 1 AM my time."

Ah, well, VODs are nicer to my potato computer anyway.

Makes sense. Ridiculous vote totals make it obvious that there's stuffing going on, whereas the vote total for this one, while the uniformity makes it still obvious that there's stuffing, is at least realistic.

Well, except for the part where one of the tracks that was near the bottom of the poll before the stuffing ended up being one of two that raced out ahead of the pack.
