Yes, and it was done without shoving it down people's throat and shitting on the source material. The type of garbage diversity and inclusivity I am talking about is garbage like the current Batwahman series on the BBC.

Massive shortages are causing schools to start closing.

I give the public education system another 3-4 years unless they dramatically increase they pay or find a way to make teaching a desirable profession again.

One of my best friends is a teacher. They are so desperate to find teachers that he decided he would only work by contracts instead of being hired full time by a school. With Covid, there has been a lot of changes in how classes are taught and the old guard basically said "fuck this," thus many people went for their retirement. He basically gets to pick when or where he goes to work. Lots of mileage, but he's laughing all the way to the bank.

I'll agree with 7th Saga, I really don't know what the hell the devs were thinking when they ported the game over with those changes, but man I loved to play that game.

Ogre Battle was only difficult at the beginning when you didn't know jack about all the mechanics the game has, but once you understood about the units (which are good, which are bad, how to obtain advanced ones, how to recruit special ones), how to raise or lower alignment, rep, where hidden items and towns are, etc. the game became very, very, very easy, very quickly. I had a tendency to have 12 units, 8 of good alignment, 3 of bad alignment, 1 flyer with medium alignment for

Blizzard died in 2004 for me. Whatever was left after that wasn't Blizzard in my eyes.

As much as I think Diablo 3 (or at least the launch version) got a bad rep, I can't deny it felt more like the creators of WoW trying to make a Diablo game then an actual Diablo game. Plus Starcraft 2 was just bland. Then you have the WoW spin-offs, the horrible remakes/remasters/whatevers, the offering the classic collection for free only to put it behind a "premium" subscription later, whatever the hell Battle.net turned into once they integrated it in with Activision.

At least they put most of their good games on GoG so I can enjoy them without needing to break out my disks and trying to get them working on a modern system, but I just can't justify playing anything from them in the last 20 years.

They just repeated the unfortunate process of most game companies:

1. Start a company with good ideas and the will to be the bests at something.
2. Put out good products that are smash hits. Listen to the fans and keep doing good work.
3. Become big. Go on the stock market.
4. Be bought be someone else, become a bitch to fat cat shareholders.
5. Become too big, start not giving a damn because no matter what you do, someone will tell you that the only thing that matter is pleasing the shareholders and not the fans.
6. In Blizzard's cases, have a few creepazoids doing harassment and cubicle crawls, while virtue signaling in trying to damage control.

That cycle keeps repeating itself. I just want the companies that I love to realize why they make good games, what their fans love about their games, and to STOP at be satisfied to be a small/mid game developper who is successful and beloved.
