I see...with that being said, im a bit skeptical on the vaccine itself after hearing from people close to me ending up with blood clots.

I ask because I am a firm advocate for military service.

Theres a lot to unpack on that subject. A childhood trauma I just recently started talking about two years ago to my psychologist. Suicidal thoughts also started around two years ago and I get them every now and then. Plus a lot of racing thoughts at night causes me to miss a lot of sleep.
That was pure hell on me when I was working for three years with only two hours of sleep per night. But yeah...mental illness is no joke and its not something to ever screw around with. I am however doing a little better these days and more mellow I guess because of the meds.

That also allows it to be a more gradual change.

So initially instead of a 40 hour work week you basically switch over to a 3 day/4day plan and that allows every day of the week to be covered.

Everyone has either 3 days off a week or 4 days off a week (or alternates), but you can generally support yourself and live comfortably with only 3 days of work a week.

Then get rid of all welfare as well, and have workfare. Still only 3-4 days a week, but you have to work to get gov assistance (even if it's only answering the phones etc).

Right now it can take hours to get through to the IRS or DMV etc, but if you used the entire population of people who are not working to answer phones (from home) that would no longer be an issue).

As far as child care etc, mothers can watch children besides their own, so instead of just giving free money/rent, you have those mothers (or fathers I guess) actually work as child care centers instead, allowing everyone to have free child care pretty much, for the same money that is being spent now.

In the end everyone who is working, has to work less, but everyone who is capable has to work.

This doesn't sound to bad at all. Actually, I would opt for something that isnt so much on the work mentality culture to where you turn into a zombie or development a mental illness. For example from past experience with this one job... There was a position where you work Mon thru Sat. Saturdays are always mandatory. And to add an extra kick to your ass, you only get PTO after a year of working there. How many days do you ask? Only 5 days. 5 fucking days... its pathetic and sad. Now, another job I work at once hired in, you get 15 days right off the bat with an additional 5 sick days. So thats 20 days!!

If there is anything our work culture that needs a revamp is our PTO. I work to live, I dont live to work. You dont want to become burnt out by the time your 40 pledging loyalty to a company that treats you like "family" which I hate when they use that term so much. Its important not just to have that suitable income, true... but its also important to live.

This news just sort of came out of nowhere, but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Hes still pretty young at 24 and has always worked
sort of low end boring jobs, etc. So I can understand where he his coming from.. And I get why he wants to join up to pursue a better opportunity. I personally cant due to mental illness, and for other personal reasons as I was once considering it. But other then that, good for him though! Ive only had one other person in the fam and that was my uncle who served in Nam.

If that's added on top of eating 2000 calories per day without making any other adjustments, that'd be a 10% increase in caloric intake, which is definitely enough to result in some weight gain. Granted, I don't think anyone is going to be that dedicated about it without also adjusting their diet a bit (whether deliberately or because the extra donut fills them up enough to eat less in the closest meal), but it's still hypothetically possible.

Of course, what's actually likely to happen is that people coming in for their free donut get upsold on other products, and the health implications of that can be much more significant (but also much harder to predict).

Dont forget though. Merica does run on diabetes. Where else can you get fucked with overpriced healthcare as well? I know this isnt related but I dont know what Im more affirad of. My mental health declining or the amount of medicail debt I cant even pay that my mental health contributed to that very system that will still perpetuate towards me feeling depressed. Its a fucking joke without any progressiveness from my experience towards feeling better.

So, yeah...what a great way to motivate America into getting vaccinated while also contributing to the
obesity epidemic, lol. Look, im all for Covid being done with, but I also find it funny at the same time.

I worked as a stower for them and, well...

Technically you have 'unlimited' bathroom breaks, but even if you want to be a good little worker it was a three-to-five minute hike for me to the nearest restroom and it was woefully small compared to the actual need. Like, two stalls total. I always saw a line in both the mens and womens areas going out the door. When a bathroom break can easily take 5-10 minutes just to travel back and forth and there's a line any hope of filling a quota may as well go up in smoke.

It kinda reminds me when I worked many other warehouse/factory jobs, one in particular had bathrooms all the way fucking down on the other side of the factory so even that was a hike to get there. Around the same time frame to get there and back pretty much and as long as you werent fucking around, everything was peachy. However, I can certainly see how people abuse it also and Ive seen many. I guess when you have in most places trying to fill a quota, then yeah...even then that creates issues itself.

And FYI, I actually did get the job, and of course did ask the questions I intended to ask. In other words, I am actually quite happy things went over well during orientation and the guy said "Even though despite what you heard, we dont do that here." Well, I start in a few days and Ill see if this has any merit to what hes says is true.

I work at an Amazon fulfillment center and after having read a bunch of stories about people peeing in bottles because they were afraid to take a bathroom break I had expected to see piss bottles everywhere once our site opened up. Haven't seen a single one yet. The bathrooms are never empty when I go in them. Plenty of people seem to be using them on a regular basis.

Well thats good news for ya dude. Im happy to hear there is none of that going on over there. And when all of this news broke a few years back, it started to honestly make me think why would anyone do that to the people they hire to act like mindless robots that are not allowed to take a piss.

Yes! Loved the film. I also saw it in the theater. XD sound and the moments right near the very end? question is its something thats been known for a while now. But in terms of any interviews I go in for, most of the times they are surprised at the questions
I ask that normally people dont really tend to ask, lol. Say for example, "What do you like about working here?" And you'd be surprised at how much they kinda divert the question a bit and I take it as a red flag. Or what really grinds my gears is the pay. For whatever reason, its taboo to bring up the pay and
for whatever else reason at times its not even listed also...and look, Id rather not waste each others time and I know my worth here.

I always thought therapy stuff was bogus and useless. Like getting some witch doctor to cast a spell. Turns out I just needed to be really picky and find the right person. Just keep at it and until one of them sticks.

I can understand this. Different stuff works for different people. Oh, and I also forgot to mention I kinda found my own way. Still talk to my doctor though. But no longer take meds or spoke to the doctor who put me in the ER...at the very end of the day, it never solved anything back then. Just an expensive bill that can fuck right off along with the other useless doctors that didn't even do shit for twice in a row. The mental health field from my POV makes me angry sometimes at how its handled, and I got lots to say about it but Id rather not...

Ok, I got a similar story here. Not really admitting myself but close. I suffer from severe depression and suicidal thoughts. The latter I have about once a week it crosses my mind. So, two years ago thats when it seriously started to effect me. One day when I was at my psych doctor, she became so worried that she called the hospital, I got sent there. Played their game of 20 questions, evaluated, and then sent home with some useless papers on stuff that I am already doing! Taking meds, seeing doctors, etc. The whole nine yards. Next day comes... my psych doctor got worried again. Said to go back. I went back again. Same routine again. 20 more useless stupid questions this time from someone who couldn't barely speak English. And then finally sent home again. So overall? It was just one huge big waste of fucking time. Why would you send me to the hospital when they do fuck all to help me?

Because this is exactly what happened to me, and it really made me lose hope in all of that crap. It made me so sad that no one can really tell me right to my face that this hospital couldn't do anything. Not after what I went through and saw. And here I am still to this very day... nothing has ever changed. And let me tell you that its fucking painful to have those thoughts. They treated my mental health like a fucking joke. I didn't even care to pay the hospital bill afterwards because I just didn't care anymore. But anyways..yeah. Thats how it was for me overall on my experience that sort of comes close.
