Seriously. How anyone can call themselves fans of cinema film or whatever you want to call it and NOT appreciate the unprecedented level to which the MCU has created this universe. They literally trained people how to care about movies differently. Now you stay for the very end for a stinger that gives you a glimpse of the next movie. Characters youve seen in one movie will show up in another. The things the MCU have accomplished are phenomenal. But theyre legitimately great movies most of them. It just amuses me watching people try to dismiss them when they cannot take back the reality of how I and others feel when we watch them. Theres an excitement to them that I cannot see any other movie coming close to capturing for me. Also quickly there is one more thing Id like to point out. I dont know why people feel like theres this idea that good movies are made in a vacuum? Odds are your favourite movie was a collaboration from hundreds if not thousands of people. Writers, directors, actors, sound guys, editors, CGI artists, whoever else you can name. So to act like the MCU is this soulless assembly line is a horseshit take. Thor Ragnarok would not be what it is without Taika. Black Panther without Coogler. The Russos and the monumental role theyve played. i would think any movie has all these building blocks that need to come together to create the final product. With the MCU, each piece of that has such a history and lineage that you get to put your mark on...that should be exciting. This tapestry of pieces that all have a weight to them that no other film property comes close to achieving. but in typical internet fashion, we are quick to dismiss the importance of literally everything --- |
