With the tone and content of your posts, it's like people who don't like the movie are just unreasonable and will come around to liking it when their heads finally clear of their hatred and misjudgment like there are no legitimate reasons to dislike the film. That's how I and I'm sure others read them. Not that I want to single you out. Many others act like not liking TLJ is just being a bitter fanboy upset over not getting their way.

What I meant is that the movies have been hated to such a degree now that the only thing left to say about them is positive. What you see online now will eventually flip and people will start playing devils advocate for it. Also a lot of the hate is unreasonable. I defend the movie but I know there are things that arent good. But the internet has a way of painting everything with one brush and will not allow anyone to say anything remotely good about it.

Thats my bet anyway. Well see what happens after episode 9.

I don't blame you for not liking V, he's universally considered the weakest part of the game from a gameplay standpoint. One thing I will insist on is that at least one of his familiars (Griffon/Shadow) be mapped to a shoulder button. Makes it easier to use them both at the same time. They Stalemate faster on higher difficulties, so you should also get in the habit of dodging around when they're in danger so they don't take more damage than they need to. And like previously mentioned, summoning Nightmare will instantly revive them. When playing as V, keeping his familiars alive is the most important thing to keep in mind considering they're directly linked to his mobility options.

i will take this under advisement. Havent come close to losing a familiar yet.

Well thats disappointing most people agree he sucks. Summoners are so underrated in video games.

DT Stinger is fun to spam, and when you have Devil Sword Dante you get some additional effects on certain moves. Like Balrog's Real Impact for example, when used in Devil Trigger you'll conjure up spinning swords to hold the enemy in place. It's mostly one of those things you just have to experiment with. That's just the kind of series DMC is.

Im starting to figure out Nero a little but V still feels very spammy. And believe me I love the idea of a summoner type. But since youre a step removed from the action I really dont have much idea what my lil dudes are doing. Just spam buttons and wait for a finishing move

Disregarding the degree of entitlement it takes to literally complain about a movie, it doesn't even look like a valid criticism. It just looks like people picked some other popular movie franchise and decided to make it a buzzword they can lob at whatever they decide not to like.

And if youre saying the jokes are bad then your first comparison is the MCU? What an absolute misguided and lazy ass criticism if Ive ever heard one. MCU jokes arent always the most clever highbrow gag but they almost always work well.

If you said it was Guardians 2 bad then youre making a decent argument.

to me it comes off as whiny and lazy. Every other Star Wars movie has jokes but the second we unanimously hate the movie, suddenly 4 jokes is too many.

I'm curious to hear what your problems with the combat are. I've heard the other criticisms before, but I've never seen someone say that the combat is meh.

I cant quite put my finger on it but it just doesnt do it for me.

Sure youre given a lot of moves and different combos but for someone who isnt really invested in the series it really doesnt matter. I just end up spamming the buttons and that gets me through just fine. I have no desire to learn how to play it properly because its not all that challenging. The game doesnt really require me to want to learn all these combos and shit unless I really want to nerd out about it. I guess I could pump the difficulty up but something tells me that wont actually make it any more fun.

The fact they complain about EVERYTHING. When games are absolutely amazing theyll complain about the smallest things. If you listen to them every game sounds absolutely terrible when they couldnt be farther from the truth.

You on any game specific forum and its just people complaining about every little thing and demanding the developers cater to every whim. People demanding buffs and nerfs left right and centre when its clear as day these people dont know the first thing about game balance. How many times have you heard stories of the developers putting misleading patch notes in but not actually changing anything. So the patch will say ___ is 20% better but actually didnt change at all. Then people rush to the forums to complain about how OP it is because everyone is now playing that thing.

Or you just have pockets of communities that are just pure toxic for whatever fuckin reason. Literally driving people away from those games because theyre just the shittiest humans around.

Or you have people sending SWAT teams to streamers houses because they literally think that shit is funny.
