It was a bunch of pretty girls, who it is revealed are workers at some kind of brothel, but then, eventually, the viewer also finds out they are killing and eating the clients. it was a British film. It was clever, because it started off pretty realistic, some British millennials on a night out, acting stupidly in some nightclub, drinking too much, etc etc etc., and then later on there are...people eating each other. The sex scenes were good, and also, there was this really soft-voiced girl, young and a little innocent, typical girl-next-door type.

I don't remember the name. Let's call it...Horror Film. I hope CE is okay with me calling it this.

I've played through the game about 6 times, usually on the same file, and have gotten about 900 Gamerpoints. Started a completely new file today. I've done roughly half the game, and have maybe 150 Gamerpoints. A lot of fun. Really immersive. Shame this franchise never really took off.

Why does the so-called currency have any value whatsoever? I don't think you can actually buy anything with it, just convert it back into dollars, pounds, Euros, or whatever. I know that certain things, like gold bars, cannot buy things directly, and all types of money and currency are only valuable in the sense that we say they are (although in some cases, like specific metals, their rarity gives them value), but...Bitcoin appears to have no actual use at all.

I'm so confused. Please lead me out of my Sunhawk-type ignorance. If that's even possible.

I first beat it on Normal Mode in 2007, when it came out, then I played through in 2007 and 2008, and did Heroic Mode, which I found very challenging and fun, and eventually, I think in 2013, I beat Legendary Mode. Great campaign.

I was thinking of just playing through on Normal Mode. I dunno. Thoughts on this? Thoughts on Halo 3's campaign in general?

This is mostly Street Fighter, but I'm pretty sure it can be applied to many franchises.

You know how you have different grades of punch and kick, something soft, medium and fierce? What the fuck is the point? I pretty much always just use the fierce version, and not just for regular attacks, but also to pull off the best version of a special move. What am I missing here? I suspect this is actually extremely basic fighting game knowledge, but I must have fallen asleep for that class at school.

I walked about 40 minutes, to get to this out-of-town shopping area, a supermarket I sometimes go in. It has two main entrances. Now, one is entrance only, one is exit only. I was approaching the exit only, but the sign wasn't clearly visible, and I tried to walk in. There were some people coming towards me, and suddenly a guy, either a manager or security guard, and he shouted at me that I had to come in through the other entrance. I left the building, and circled around to use the proper entrance...but then I just stood there for about 5 minutes. I was too terrified that he would yell at me again, so I walked the 40 minutes home.

This afternoon has certainly been well spent.

I remember back in the day, i.e. the 1990s, he was considered a weak character. What about now? In the later games, and also looking back? Personally, I'm on the fence. His completely lack of kick moves, although realistic, is pretty annoying. His charges forward are good, though, and I suppose he has a lot of attack power. I dunno. He's one of the bosses. How bad can he be?

On the one hand, my garden is 10 seconds away, whereas the park is about 15 minutes from here...but the park is very nice, as far as parks go. Plus, there will be people about, and it's a chance (although I do sometimes read down that particular park).

When it comes to recent terrorism, and by that I mean organised terrorism, e.g. ISIS and Al-Queda, pretty much all of the attacks on the Western World have been on Europe, not America. There were the 2015 French attacks, the 2017 British attacks, and so on. My question is this - why has this become the case? Why have the terrorists become so focused on Europe? Or is it that they have been planning to do attacks on both places, but American counter-terrorism is more efficient than European counter-terrorism?

You know what I think might happen? The Winds of Winter will come out, maybe next year, and then the final book will only take a couple of more years. 2023. I mean, there's no reason it might not happen. He might suddenly write really quickly, and use ideas from the 6th book, and release it fairly soon.

The Penguin Guide to Modern China, and the Penguin Guide to Canadian History. I think I'm getting the names right, and if not, it's obvious what the books are about. When it comes to China, I actually know the modern history reasonably well, but I feel there's more I could learn. As for Canada, I only know a little. Both books are chunky, at least 600 pages each, which is good. I like decent time sinks. I must confess, Penguin has a great range of history books.
