Sunhawk 07/15/20 3:35:37 PM #1:	I first beat it on Normal Mode in 2007, when it came out, then I played through in 2007 and 2008, and did Heroic Mode, which I found very challenging and fun, and eventually, I think in 2013, I beat Legendary Mode. Great campaign. I was thinking of just playing through on Normal Mode. I dunno. Thoughts on this? Had a lot of fun, although I don't quite understand how to deal with the Flood pure forms other than stick with the pointy end of an energy sword or hold down M1/M2 with akimbo Spikers or Maulers. Cortana was a bitch, as I heard it was. Somehow still beat the par score despite dying a bunch. A nitpick I have is that you're suddenly not super squishy during the end sequence on Legendary. I get that it's a victory lap spectacle, but you had to sweat blood and bullets during the Warthog run in CE. The biggest example is that using Melee attacks on Flood was useless in the prior games. But in 3, they are brittle and it works very well. The Sword is of course probably the best Flood killing weapon overall. It one shots the Tank forms and usually the other two pure forms as well. But my personal favorite anti-Flood weapon in Halo 3 is dual-wielded plasma rifles. They've got a high rate of fire, decent enough range to hit the ranged forms, and even help against shielded combat forms. But really, most weapons except for Snipers are useful against Flood. That's actually why I found Cortana to be one of the easier missions.
