PSO I added in MW2 and Black Ops 1 because they were so hugely successful. They set new records for Day 1 sales. MW2 sold 4.7 million copies, which was unheard of and very impressive, and Black Ops 1 sold 5.6 million copies. As for AC, not only did it create a very popular franchise, I don't think there had been many games before that had combined realistic platforming, combat and stealth in quite that way. Of course, one might argue that Mirror's Edge 1 came out the same day, and was sorta the same thing. Clearly, though, people thought AC did it better, perhaps because it was third person. I was playing the 360 version of Soul Calibur 4 earlier today, and I was pretty bad. I could certainly remember some moves (sort of), but after having a good at the Tower of Souls, which I'd done some of years ago, I didn't make any progress at all. You know, the graphics have aged very well. The graphics were excellent when SCIV came out in 2008, and that was just in SD. The series had definitely lost its way by this point, though. I'm not sure what had gone wrong, but it didn't feel quite the same as before. Plus, the #metoo crowd would hate certain stuff in this game, that much is for certain. I still think Soul Calibur 1 is the best fighting game of all time. SFII is really good as well, though, and SFIV was quite good. --- It has been 0 days since something interesting happened. I think I've heard this film mentioned before, and it's been implied it was pretty nasty, but I had no idea. I must admit, though, the first half was great wish fulfillment / fantasy. Kinda depressing how out of touch with reality Hitler got from about 1942 onwards, probably due to all the military problems they were having, all the drugs he was loaded up with for his medical problems, and the stress of things like assassination attempts and the sometimes isolated places he lived. It's hard to recognise Germany about 70 years later.
