I saw it WAY back when, possibly when it first came out, possibly a bit later, and it was so cool. I can't believe they did a TV mini-series on such a high budget (although TV budgets are sometimes really high now, and net series budgets are ridiculous), plus WW2 is very interesting subject matter. What did people think of it? Have you rewatched it since?

Been playing for maybe 2 hours, still on the first regular level. I've been fighting some boss as I stand on a block of house that's falling through the air (which is actually pretty cool). I'm finding most of the fights pretty tough. Am I sucking, or is the game reasonably hard, even early on?

Regardless, what are some good beginner tips?

It's sad how quickly interest in the franchise tailed off, after the mid-way point of season 2. People are such fucking backstabbers.

Of course, it became a cult classic franchise, though. Over time, some of the fans actually became pretty rabid.

I've just playing Bayonetta 2. Can't complain about the graphics, which are excellent. The combat, which I suppose is the focus of the game, seems like good fun. Not sure yet. Quite intense, some button mashing, nice mix of shooting and melee. Challenging, even early on. The wandering around locations seems kinda boring, though, with the chance of getting confused about which direction to head in, possibly. Personally, I hate cutscenes, but the ones in this are pretty good (for cutscenes). Bayonette mouthing off against other characters, in her sloaney accent, and pushing the plot forward. Music is pretty bad, what I've heard so far is mostly cheesy J-pop (or possibly K-pop), but that's weeb games for you, huh?

I really only have about 90 minutes in Bayonetta 2, so I don't really know what I think...but it does seem fun. As long as the focus is combat, rather than passing the game with wandering around (beautiful) locales.

This is a nice mix of films. 6 indie films, 4 mainstream films. 5 American films, 4 British films, and 1 French film. Some 21st century stuff, but also stuff from back in the day. Thoughts on this list?

She's been hinting on Twitter that there's a new album out soon, but Google and Amazon have nothing official that I could see. She did a new song recently, which I've listened to. The main thing that makes me think a new album is imminent, is how her release schedule tends to work. A new album every 2 years. 2015, 2017, etc. End of 2019, and no album, so probably early 2020.

Anyone looking forward to her new stuff? I know she's kinda obscure.

I mean, it was kinda childish and stupid, and as before, there was WAY too much CGI, but it was kinda good. Having a character as the personification of time was very interesting, and allowed some good ideas to be explored. Mia was cool...as always. But, how many female captains were there in the late 19th century? Not many...right?

*spoilers*

I liked how the Doctor refused point blank to split Tuvix into the other two characters, because of the Hippocratic Oath. I did find it strange, however, when Tuvix tried to flee the ship, he made a complete hash of it. I mean, he had Tuvok's knowledge, he could've just pre-programmed the computer to beam him and a shuttlecraft off the ship, and also could've disabled the warp engines of Voyager, and then escaped. Instead, he just tries to run away from the bridge. Like a jerk. He almost deserved to die.

Although, regarding Noami Wildman and Kim being copies, I don't think that matters at all. There was the "real" versions of Wildman and Kim, just as much as the ones who died.

Excellent series, IMHO.

On Amazon, when you search for a film, it brings up 3 things: DVD, Blu-Ray, and the digital version. I've seen a few different films available on Blu-Ray and digital, but not DVD, and I assumed for a long time it was just because the film was unpopular, or because of...whatever. Now, I realise that it's because DVDs simply aren't that popular anymore, and are no longer so economic for Amazon. I'm surprised it took me so much time to figure it out.

Don't get me wrong. I know that DVDs first came out in about 1999, so by tech standards, they've very old; even Blu-Rays, starting in about 2005, are pretty old. I just hoped that DVDs would hold out a little longer. Sad.

What do you personally use? Digital, straight to your tablet, etc.? How do you feel about all this?

As for Wakewood, it's a New Hammer film. Pretty good, but certainly not excellent. Best Hammer films are probably Twins of Evil, which is awesome in a cheesy way, and The Quiet Ones, which is great.
